Chapter 11
Turbulence
I close the huge book of Greece history on my lap. I quit putting Greek historical facts in my brain. I feel like it's going to explode from all the information, human related and daemon related.
I sigh. I look around me. I should be at my room right now studying for the exams but here I am sitting inside a plane, hundreds of feet above the ground.
Somebody 'tsk'.
I turn to my right. Kai is sitting beside me, he got the window seat. He's gazes out at the window, looking more irritated than ever. I should be the one irritated not him.
"You guys insisted on bringing me so suck it up." I told him.
He ignored me. I turn to my left, Suho's watching a movie beside me. I tap on his shoulder. He removes the ear piece and looked at me.
"Are you sure this Princess you were talking about is in Greece?"
"Lay's visions are never wrong. Don't worry, we'll find the Princess in no time. We'll be flying back to Korea before you know it." he said then continued watching the movie.
I sigh again. Yesterday Lay had a vision. In this vision, he saw their princess, the late king and queen's daughter. And now we must find her.
According to Dr. Leeteuk, the Guardian Twelve rescued the Princess from the palace right after her parents' execution. Unfortunately, Hades and his troops caught up with them, a fight broke out. Luhan and Kris, two of the Guardian Twelve, and a palace servant helped the princess escaped. Hades interfered, the princess escaped as Luhan and Kris sacrificed themselves to the enemy.
And now the remaining Guardians are planning on bringing the Princess back to her rightful thrown.
Kai 'tsk' once again and grunted.
"If you're going to be like that for the whole journey it would be better if you go ahead of us."
"You have no idea." He said in a low scary voice of his.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. I went back to my book and stare at the picture of ancient Greece at the cover. Who would have thought in just few hours I'll be in Greece? The idea excites me but the constant grunting of the daemon beside me is starting to get on my nerves.
An hour later the pilot announced that we might encounter some air turbulence. He told the passengers there's nothing to worry. I heard a few gasps as the plane shook a little.
I shifted on my sit, looking for a better angle when the plane shook again, a little stronger this time. I saw Kai grip the arm rest so tightly his knuckles are turning white. I look at his face. He had his eyes closed and he's breathing hard.
"Hey what's happening to you?" Is he having a vision too? I thought only Lay has that ability?
He shook his head.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
The plane vibrates again. Kai gasped and holds onto the arm rest like his life depends on it.
"Are you ...scared of flying?"
He opens his eyes to glare at me. "What kind of stupid question is that?!"
"Or maybe you're scared of turbulence?"
"I just don't like ..." the plane shook again. "...flying."
I chuckled. Somehow, he looks funny being scared like this.
"Try to sleep it will help."
"I don't need sleep." He said through gritted teeth.
