Chapter 33

Into Your World

Daemons are capable to love and to hate.

Kai never had anyone to hate nor any reason to hate before. Not even when he was forced to leave his family to fulfill his duty as a Guardian. Not even when his parents died in the hands of malevolence and he wasn't even there to save them. Not even when every daemon turned their backs at them for not siding Hades.

To him, hate and love are two powerful words. They hold great value and he had never expressed those words before. Until she came.

He hated not knowing the feelings he have for her. He hate it when she's in danger. He hate it when she's in pain.

She grew on him until the day he just realized he's in love with her. She made him experience new things. She loved him as he loves her.

But none of them matters anymore.

Because she's gone.

And now he's in grieve as his tears falls to her angelic face.

"..son.."

He feels numb but he also feels the pain. Love and Hate. He feels them right now and he can't do anything but shed tears. Why did it come to this?

"Son...I'm sorry."

Kai lifted his eyes to look at the daemon calling him.

Hades is slowly fading away into ashes. His lower body's turning ash gray and as the wind blows, pieces of his ashes leaves his body.

Kai can feel the pain as he watch his father slowly perish while the woman he loves lay lifeless in his arms.

"I'm sorry for all of these." Hades' voice is weak but rings with remorse. "I'm weak. I wasn't strong enough to fight the temptation of power. I was corrupted by it. I'm terribly sorry."

"I'm going to choose to remember you as Myeongdo, the daemon who gave me life. Myeongdo died years ago. I will cherish him like I always do."

A soft smile crossed Hades' face. For once, he looked like the father he remembers. "You're a great daemon, son. Greater than your father. Your mother and I had raised you right. Thank you."

Kai returned his weeping eyes at Krystal. Her pale skin is in great contrast to his hands. His brothers around him laments at their great loss.

"Take my crystal. Let me repay my wrong deeds."

Kai didn't respond. He's not interested in any crystal unless it's his Krystal.

Using the remaining strength that he has, Hades lifted his almost fading hands, a glowing white crystal appeared. He commands it to fly over his son. Kai tried to ignore it but the gem didn't go to him. It went straight to the corpse in his hands.

He watched in disbelieve how the crystal of his father went inside Krystal's chest.

Thud .....Thud .....Thud

Kai can hear a very faint sound coming from her body.

Thud...tud Thud...tud Thud...tud

The sound's getting louder. Getting stronger.

Kai's trembling hand pressed softly on top of her chest, just above where her wound is. He closes his eyes and listens.

Thud-tod Thud-tod Thud-tod

And all at once, her chest started moving.

Krystal gasp. Her eyes flew wide open as she woke up - from death.
