Dreams

He was joking.

He was joking .....right?

Kai opened the door and we went inside again.

"Oh, I thought you're going back to the dorm?" says Lay.

"Who's that?" Suho points at the body Kai's carrying at his shoulder.

Kai put Amber down at the sofa. "What is Liu Amber doing here?" says Baekhyun, all of us circled around the sofa.

"She followed me."

"Why?" Kyungsoo asks.

"She's getting suspicious on where I'm going if I'm not at school." I told them as I sit down to the floor next to the sofa.

"We should be more careful. We can't risk her knowing our secret." says Chanyeol.

I look up at them. "Can't we tell her? She's my friend. We can trust her."

"It's not a matter of trust, Krystal. Keeping our existence here on Earth had always been the top most priority of our race. It was never a good thing when humans have daemon knowledge. It's been tested in the past and it all ended darkly." says Suho.

"But she knows that I've been coming here now and Kai teleported in front of her."

"I'll erase her memories of tonight. When she wakes up she will remember nothing of this event." says Dr. Leeteuk.

"How about her suspicion? She can still follow me the next time." I said.

"I'll remove that one too and I'll implant new interest to keep her occupied."

"Isn't that dangerous?"

"No. Daemons do that to humans all the time." says Xiumin.

I look down at Amber's sleeping face. I don't want to erase her memories but at the same time I don't want her in trouble.

I sighed as I step aside so Dr. Leeteuk can move closer to her. He put his right hand on top of her forehead, sliding down to her face.

"That will do." he said.

Kai picks her up again and the two of them disappeared. Within a minute, Kai returned and the two of us went outside again to go back to school.

When I got to our room, Amber is sleeping in her bed like she was there all this time. I sit down beside her.

"I'm sorry." I whispered softly as I caress her hair.

I feel bad on dragging her into this. She's just concern about me, that's all.

Erasing her memories might not be harmful but I must admit, it made me hopeful that I can share to her everything that's been happening to me.

It's been mind blowing. It would be nice to have someone to talk to other than those daemons.

I sighed. If only I can tell her.

"She'll be fine." a voice came from the shadows.

I didn't flinch. Maybe I kind of got used to it. Kai's been appearing anywhere without any warning, my mind got used to his sudden appearances.

He came to view and leans at my study table.

"I feel bad for erasing her memories."

"It's for her own good." he said.
