"Things good?" Seb asked. "Kind of, I have a feeling he won't be leaving me alone." I replied. "What happened?" Adam asked walking into the living room. "I tackled him during practice." I told them. "Good job Ley." Seb said laughing. "Is there a video out there already?" I asked. "There's a video of you tackling Austin." Keith said walking into the room. "That's my answer." I said shaking my head. "Hey it was interesting seeing a girl tackling him now he's really going to hate you." Adam said. "Yeah I get that thanks." I replied. "Anytime." He replied before they left. The next weekend I was on my way to San Diego but this time without my family behind me.
"Hey Airley." Ken said when I was walking around kind of lost. "Thank god someone I know." I said walking up and hugging him. "You didn't bring you family?" He asked. "My brothers are in school and they can't miss every Friday." I told him. "That's true." He replied before he took me to my mechanic Shawn at the tent. "Thank you Ken." I said hugging him again. "Anytime little grasshopper." He replied before leaving. "I was lost and found Ken trying to find the tent." I told Shawn. "And little grasshopper?" He asked talking about Ken's nickname. "We are in different classes." I told him. "Ok that's true just remember he has a girlfriend." Shawn said. "I know and she's so pretty." I replied.
After a good qualifying as I got 5th we were getting ready for everything tonight. "Hey you stupid bitch." I heard Austin yell. "You're going to get us in trouble if we fight here." I called back. "You better watch your back sweetheart." He said before walking away. "I hate that guy so much." I said before walking under the tent. "Hey don't sweat it doll." Shawn said watching that stupid child walk away. "I know but he hates me and hated me even before we got to the first track." I said. "Well he's just a dumb child." He replied. "Yeah." I said before Ken and Cole came in. "Come on we have a signing to get to." Cole said so we went to that and people actually like me already.
"You know I think the kid likes you." Ken said. "What kid, Austin?" I asked. "Yeah that's why he's sort of being mean." Cole said. "Could he actually like me?" I asked. "Of course you're really pretty." Ken replied. "Awe thanks." I replied smiling. "Well we better get going little grasshopper see you later." Ken said. "Alright I'll see you two around." I said before they left. "How was the signing?" Shawn asked. "Good, I love seeing everyone." I told him. "They like you already." He replied. "Could there be a chance that Austin likes me?" I asked. "I think he does, he's just I don't know scared maybe confused, I mean you two are competition." He told me. "Yeah that's true." I replied. "Is there a chance you like him?" He then asked me. Could I like him I asked myself. "Right now no." I told him.
*Austin's P.O.V.*
"If you like her say something to her." Olly my mechanic said. "Everything that comes out of my mouth is mean when it comes to her." I replied I messed up big time with Airley. "Then say something nice." He replied. "Olly I can't." I said before leaving our tent and going to find her I smiled watching her and Shawn her mechanic italk and get ready for tonight. tonight. "Hey you stupid bitch." I yelled at her damn it. "You're going to get us in trouble if we fight here." She called back that's not what I meant to say. "You better watch your back sweetheart." I said before walking away back to Olly. "What happened?" He asked.
"I-I ruined everything Olly I called her a bitch and then told her to watch her back." I told him. "Austin what the hell dude." He replied. "I'm stupid." I said before shaking off what just happened and focusing on racing. "Come on let's get a win tonight." He said before the gate dropped for the first time tonight. We didn't win but we are doing really good. We were in fifth, right in front of Airley who came in sixth. "She did so well I wish I could go up and be nice to her." I said watching how happy she was with Shawn. "Come on you did good Austin now to back to the hotel and get some sleep." Olly said before I decided to do that.
The next week flew by and we were back at Anaheim the whole day we were there for qualifying I was watching Airley when I wasn't on the track. I still kind of regret the twitter feud we had but my mind wonders to how her face may have looked mad and it made me smile. "Olly, I like her what do I do?" I asked when I realized all I do since the season started is think about racing and her. "Let me take care of things, I'll talk to Shawn." Olly replied. "Alright thanks." I replied. I went back to the hotel and thought about what to do about Airley why do mean things only come out of my mouth when she's around?
"Austin, Shawn said that right now she doesn't like you, like she literally said 'right now no' so that means if you stop saying mean things to her you may have a chance." He told me. "Really?" I asked happy. "Yeah, just be nice to her." He told me. "Because that's easy for me." I replied then we got ready for tonight. I decided to go out for food before the race and to my surprise Airley had the same idea.
"Hey Airley fancy meeting you here." I said smiling. "Uh, hi Austin." She said confused. "I'm sorry for being mean to you, I can't help it when I see you mean things just come out I don't mean them, you're beautiful." I told her which made her blush. "Well I can tell because you haven't said a mean thing to me, now I'm hungry you coming or what?" She asked and I joined her and paid for our food. "You didn't have to do that." She said when we were standing by her car. "I wanted to, I want to make up for everything I've said to you and the whole twitter thing." I told her. "Oh, ok you can make up for every mean thing you've said or done." She replied which made me smile because I haven't actually done that much damaged. "But you have three more races to do things." She then said which made me sad because I wouldn't be seeing her for eight weeks when the east races. "Well we better get back, I'll see you in a bit." She said before I opened her door and she got in before I got out of the way and she closed the door before driving away I then got into my rental truck and drove back to the track.
