Chapter 17

"You almost had it a few more seconds and you would have won." Austin said hugging me after the podium. I came in second a few seconds behind first. "Yeah if only." I replied. "Let's go get some sleep." Austin said after I talked to Shawn and debriefed with him. "Yeah let's get some sleep." I replied so we went back to the hotel. The last race of the season came and went and we all said goodbye so we could train and have some time off. I'd be side by side with Austin the whole time. "Will you come home home with me?" Austin asked when we were laying in bed. "Yes I want to meet your family." I replied. "Good they want to meet you." He replied. "When are we going?" I asked laying my head on his chest while he drew designs on my back. "In a week." He replied as I closed eyes. "Sounds fun." I said before falling asleep.

*Austin's P.O.V.*

When Airley was fast asleep I pulled her closer to me and covered us both with a blanket before texting with the guys about random things. "Aust?" I heard Airley question. "Yeah Ley I'm right here." I replied. "I'm hungry." She told me. "What do you want?" I asked her. "We have no food." She replied cuddling up to me again. "So what should we do?" I asked. "Order food." She said getting her phone and ordering food and when it came I got it and we ate in bed. "I love you." Airley randomly said while we were sitting in bed watching tv. "I love you too." I replied kissing the side of her head. "I'll be by your side forever." She told me. "And I'll be by your side forever." I replied pulling her close to me. "Thank you for being here." She told me. "Forever." I replied pulling her even closer and kissing her.

"Mom dad this is Airley, Airley these are my parents Mike and Julie." I introduced everyone. We were finally back at my childhood home and I couldn't be more excited to introduce my girlfriend to my parents. "It's nice to meet you both, Austin talks a lot about you two and I couldn't wait to meet you." Airley told my parents. "Austin has told us a lot about you, and he's right you are beautiful." Mom said making her blush. "You've raised a pretty much sweet young man." She replied before we all went inside. "Pretty much?" I asked walking behind her. "Yeah, you're sweet when you want to be." She replied. After mom showed her around we all talked about what was to be expected if I was to stay with Austin in his room. "Well uh, we live together." I replied. "You what?" She asked.

"I moved into Airley's apartment." I told my parents. "Is Airley pregnant?" Mom asked. "No, I'm positive I'm not I mean we haven't done anything we just cuddle and watch TV." Airley said. "Ok, well keep on doing that nothing else." Mom told us. "Don't worry mom, we won't do anything." I told her hugging her then took Airley to my room. "This is home." I said. "I love it." She said smiling. "Great it's home for the next little while." I told her. After we got settled we went to find my parents and had dinner then we went to bed because we were tired from our flight. "Thank you." I heard Airley say before her breathing evened and I knew she was asleep.

*Airley's P.O.V*

"Austin, I'm hungry." I said while shaking him. "I'm up babe, let's go see what my parents have." He said so we changed into more appropriate stuff then went to go find out what we were doing. "Come on babe, let's ride." Austin said when we woke up the morning after we got there. "Eager aren't we." I said rolling over and kissing all over his face in search of his lips. "What was that?" He asked when I finally opened my eyes and he was smiling at me. "I wanted a kiss." I replied running my fingers through his hair and he kissed me again. "Get ready for today." He said kissing me one last time before I got ready then found my way to the kitchen. "Good morning Airley." Julie said when she saw me. "Good morning Julie, Mike." I replied sitting beside Austin after getting a plate of food.

"I'm going to go get ready now." Austin said kissing the top of my head then he left to his room. "You two are going riding." Mike said. "Yeah, my favourite thing to do, but I talked to my team before we left and I'm not riding next year." I said. "He's going to be sad about that, we can already tell he loves you." Julie said. "He treats me like theres no one else around, I get jealous easily and he talks me through it." I told them. "He's a real gentlemen." Mile said. "That and he had some great family members raising him." I replied. "Are you forgetting about what happened when you two first met?" Julie asked. "No but I forgave him and that's all that matters." I told them. "You're a sweet young lady your parents taught you well as well." Mike said. Then Austin came back into the room and we left.

"This was a fun trip." I said while we were packing. "Yeah it was, now I'm ready to go home and relax." Austin replied pecking my lips. "Yeah me too, relax and spend time with my favourite person and maybe get a pet." I said. "Let's get a bird." He said as we finished. "Yes, when are we leaving?" I asked. "Tonight." He replied so we went to go talk to his parents. "So Airley, how is our son treating you now?" Julie asked. "Wonderfully, I think he's the one." I said looking at him. "I feel the same way, she's the one." Austin said making me blush. 

"We better get to the airport." Austin said. "Yeah don't miss your flight." Julie said so we all hugged before Austin and I left. "I've been talking to my team and I'm not going to be riding next year." I told him while we were waiting for the plane. "What?" He asked clearly upset. "It's going to be ok, we can still ride together, and hang out at the track I'll be cheering you on but I'm not riding next year." I replied. "You're my inspiration to keep riding so I can beat you." He told me. "I know but some things work out for a reason." I told him then we boarded the plane. "You'll always be by my side won't you?" He asked. "Of course Austin." I replied.
