"Hey, since Ken can't drive we are going to give Cole Ken's rental car." Shawn said. "Alright, Austin will you walk me to the car?" I asked kind of afraid to go outside by myself in a weird place. "Of course." He replied smiling and we went to find my rental car. "I'll see you next week I guess." I said when we found my car. "Yeah, bring something nice to wear for dinner." He told me. "I will, when are we going for dinner?" I asked. "The Friday night." He told me. "Alright, where are we meeting?" I asked. "At the hotel, at 5:30." He told me before kissing my forehead and opening the door.
"You really are a gentleman now." I replied before getting in. "Hey, want a ride back up to the building?" I asked. "Sure." He replied before he closed my door and then quickly got into the passenger side. "Thanks Airley." He said and from the corner of my eye I could see him staring at me. "Any time." I replied before parking at the front of the building. "Here you are babe." I said before I had a look of shock on my face I didn't mean to call him babe. "Babe, I like that." He said before saying bye then getting out and going back into the arena and then I drove back to the hotel got ready for bed then went to sleep. The next day I woke up and got ready then packed and went to the airport to meet up with my team and go home.
"So Airley is your wrist is good?" Cole asked. "Yeah better than Ken unfortunately." I said. "Yeah true sad turn of events this was his year too." Shawn said. "It was." Ken's crew chief replied. We boarded the plane then went home, me back to Kansas and everyone else back to wherever thankfully we had a private team plane. "Airley sweetheart are you ok?" My mom asked. "Of course I think it's just hurt but Shawn said I should get it checked out." I told them. "We have an appointment for this afternoon with the doctor." My dad said before we went home. When we got home my brothers were waiting for us to get home.
"So what happened with Austin?" Keith asked I knew this was coming. "Before the race I went out to eat and Austin ended up there so he opened the doors for me, paid for my lunch and then told me he wanted to make up everything he said to me." I told them. "That's sweet."Seb replied. "After the main event when I fell he came up and hugged me before asking me if I was alright. "Then he was still there for the 450 main and when Ken fell he came up and comforted me." I told them. "Awe he's really trying to be nice now." Adam said.
"Then after Ken fell Austin walked me back to my rental car since they paired me up with Cole since they forgot to rent an extra car and we talked and he kissed my forehead oh, he's taking me out to dinner Friday night when we get to our next stop." I told them. "He likes you." Adam said. "He's in love with our baby sister." Seb added. "I also drove him to the arena from where I parked and maybe accidentally called him babe." I told them I already told my parents all about Austin. "You called him babe?" Seb asked before my brothers started to laugh. "He said 'babe i like that' before going back in the arena." I told them.
*Austin's P.O.V.*
"Olly." I said fast walking to him. "What?" He asked before looking at me and noticing my smile. "So I walked her to her rental car and she drove me to the arena so I didn't have to walk back and I was staring at her watching her drive then when we were at the doors and she called me babe." I told him. "What are you going to do?" He asked me. "I don't know, talk to her at dinner." I said. "Alright talk to her." He replied before the 450 main finished and I went back to the hotel. The next day I went home to California looking around the place. "What's going on?" One of the guys I'm sharing a house with asked. "Nothing, just thinking." I replied before going to my room.
"Austin what's up?" Robbie asked walking into my room. "I'm afraid." I told him. "Of what?" He asked. "I've only ever actually loved dirt bikes." I told him. "Oh this is about a girl." He said sitting on my bed. "Yeah, not just any girl." I replied. "What?" He asked. "Airley Parker." I told him. "You like Airley Parker but you were so mean to her." He said. "And now I'm making it up to her by being nice, she called me babe yesterday when she dropped me off in front of the arena so I wouldn't have to walk alone after walking her to her rental car." I told him. "Alright then talk to her about how you feel." He told me. "I'm going to on Friday at dinner." I told him. "Good, you should plan what you're going to say to her." He said before leaving.
"Damnit Airley why are you so pretty?" I asked no one after he left. "Because her parents made her that way ya know." One of my roommates said. "Shush." I said throwing a pillow at him. He left me to my thoughts of Airley and dirt bikes. "Hey Austin we have a surprise for you." Robbie called. "What?" I asked. "Come down here and find out." He called back so I got up and went to go see what this surprise was. "Airley?" I asked surprised. "Hi Austin." She replied smiling. "Airley." I said again hugging her.
"Where exactly am I staying?" She asked. "With Austin." One of my other roommates said before everyone walked away. "Uh, you can take the bed I'll take the floor." I said getting her bags. "No Austin, as long as you don't try anything we can share the bed." She replied. "Alright we can do that come on I'll give you a tour after we put your bags in my room." I told her going to my room. "Why are you here?" I then asked her. "Well you've met everyone I live with. "Yeah I'm not going to try to know their names." She replied. "That's ok, half the time I forget I have supercross on my mind all the time." I told her.
