"Momma, what is he doing here?" I asked when she brought in Austin Forkner. "Listen sweetheart, you and Austin are dating." She told me. "No we can't be, he's mean." I replied shaking my head. "But he's showing you that he's not that bad." She told me before leaving the room. "Listen Airley, I'm so sorry about what I did to you, you were giving me a second chance and I was showing you that I was only mean because dirt bikes have been my life since I was little and since you've been around I was starting to fall for you so I was trying to push you away because I was afraid." He told me and my memory of the past little while was starting to come back after he told me that. "You were, oh Austin and you came to see me." I said smiling and holding out my arms for him.
"I was so scared Airley." He said hugging me. "I'm sorry." I replied. "Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault." He said kissing me. "What if I'm not good enough?" I asked him. "Hey, Airley, you're amazing, you've come a long way and you can't give up." He told me. "I keep on getting hurt." I replied. "Yeah I know, but you need to get back up show everyone you're stronger, that girls belong here competing, be a role model for other girls who like to ride dirt bikes." He replied. "Yeah I do, thank you." I said hugging him. "Anytime you need me." He replied. "Could you go get my family please?" I asked looking at him. "Of course Gorgeous." He replied before leaving the room.
"Airley, we talked to your doctor and you won't be able to compete for the rest of this season, you got a concussion when you fell." My dad told me when they came in. "But what will I do?" I asked. "I don't know sweetheart, why don't you go support your team and Austin." Momma said. "Yeah, does that sound good Austin?" I asked looking at him. "Yeah of course, you can stay with me we can go to the track and watch everyone." Austin replied. "Thank you daredevil." I replied smiling at him. "Anytime gorgeous." He replied taking my hand in his. "You do have to stay in the hospital overnight tonight." My dad told me. "No, I have to leave." I said trying to get off the bed.
"Hey gorgeous, come on you need to stay here maybe if it's alright with your parents and the doctor I can stay in here too." Austin said. "That's fine but us." Momma said. "I'll go talk to the doctor." My dad said then they all left the room leaving me with Austin. "So gorgeous, I guess we can't dance for a while?" Austin asked. "No, but you really should go back to the hotel." I said when he sat in the chair beside my bed. "I really hope the next time we're in a hospital is a long time from now." Austin said. "Yeah." I replied taking his hand. "Imagine us in a few years in a hospital room, a little hospital crib by your bed with our baby in it." Austin said and I looked beside the bed imagining it. "A baby boy?" I asked looking at him.
"I was thinking a baby girl, just as pretty as her momma." He replied kissing my hand. "I don't think most baby girls would want to race dirt bikes, I'm just thinking of our family business." I replied. "But if I'm lucky I'll get a mini Airley." He replied and it made me smile. "How long have you been thinking about this?" I asked him. "Since we started dating." He replied looking at the ground. "Awe daredevil." I replied rubbing the back of his hand with my thumb. "Do you want a boy?" He then asked me. "Yeah, he can be your mini me, hey you me and both of our little mini me's." I said picturing our little family. "This family better not be happening anytime soon." Dad said as my family walked back in. "No sir, we're still young and we both have a lot of growing to do." Austin replied.
"Ummm." I said looking at Austin. "In our careers gorgeous, you have to be ready to give up something you love for a while to have a baby, you will not be on a dirt bike while pregnant or shortly after you give birth." He added. "That's right you win't be able to do what you or dad loves for a while if you decide to have a baby." Keith said. "Yeah I haven't thought of that, giving up dirt bikes so I could have children." I said. "But to have babies just like us, it would be worth it." Austin said. "Yeah, take a year off to have baby one then a few years later have baby two." I said. "There's our plan, when you're happy with your career we can have children." Austin said. "After we get married." I added.
"Yeah of course after we get married gorgeous." Austin replied. My family left soon after leaving Austin in my room with me. "I have a question for you and I would like an honest answer." I said. "Ok whatever you want." He replied. "You call me gorgeous all the time and you're dating me but you like all these girls Instagram pictures and they look nothing like me." I said. "Do you want to know why?" He asked. "Yeah." I replied. "Just something to do, yes they look pretty but I have you around, you're the most beautiful girl I've seen and you like dirt bikes like me and that's big for me, just remember Airley no matter what I do, I'm coming back to you." He answered making me blush.
"You will always come back, and I'll find you, always." I replied making him smile. "Yeah we'll always find each other." He said. "Austin Forkner right?" Airley's doctor asked. "Yes." He replied. "Just making sure you are the right person." He replied. "So am I just going to sleep on the chair?" He asked. "You can get on the bed if it's alright with Airley, it's just a concussion." The doctor replied. "Ok." He replied.
