"Ok Airley you are free to go." The doctor said when he and my parents walked into the room with a wheelchair. Austin helped me into the wheelchair and we were off back to the hotel. "So will I see you cheering me on next week?" Austin asked when we got to the hotel. "I'm not sure yet." I replied. "Well I hope you do I'll see you soon though." He said. "Yeah, I'll see you soon." I replied then he kissed me and went to his room while I went to pack. "Hey Air." Seb said walking into my room and putting his bags on my bed. "Hey Seb." I replied still packing. "So are you alright?" He asked. "Yeah I'm fine why?" I asked. "You never talk about falling in love with someone then Forkner comes around and you're thinking about marrying him." He said.
"I know but he's different I'm happy around him it's like I want to spend the rest of my life with him." I told Seb. "I know, it's just really weird that you say that, dirt bikes use to be the only things you love." He said before taking his bags and leaving my room. When I was done packing I started to walk to the doors of the hotel thinking about what my brother said, I never did want to spend my life with someone I was happy with just my dirt bike and I. "Momma, did I make the right choice with Austin?" I asked her when I saw her waiting for my dad and brothers. "I think you chased after what your heart wants like always, since you were little you've loved dirt bikes and guys never caught your attention, I love your passion for it but theres more to life Air." She told me.
"I know but I don't care about anything else." I replied. "We'll find a nice online program maybe one that still gets you with dirt bikes." She said. "Yeah." I replied before the rest of the family came and I left in my rental car while my family left however they got here. "Air, can we talk?" My dad asked when he walked into my room after we got home. "Yeah of course dad." I replied. "Your mom told me about the talk you had with her in the hotel, what's going on you've never doubted yourself before why now?" He asked. "I've only loved dirt bikes and now Austin's in my life and I claim to love him." I said. "That's love dear, you don't pick and choose who you fall for or when and you may have been around him but growing up you were really focused on just dirt bikes now that you're a young teenager your thoughts have been changing to boys for a while but now you've found a boy you like and your priorities are changing." He said.
"Well I know that dad." I replied. "Did one of your brothers make you question things?" He then asked. "Yeah." I replied. "I see ok well whatever they put into your head don't worry, if you love him you know it no one else should tell you how to feel." He told me. "Thanks dad." I said hugging him. "You're my only daughter, it's my job to protect you from your brothers and your brothers job to help me protect you from everyone else." He replied hugging me. "I'm grateful for everyone." I said then he left and Austin face timed me. "Hey Austin." I said smiling at him. "Hey gorgeous." He replied. "What's going on?" I asked him. "Been trying to call this young lady for a while." He replied.
"Talk with my dad, my brother said something that made me think about things." I replied. "What did your brother say?" He asked. "Just that dirt bikes are my life and then you come around and I talk about marrying you." I told him. "You do?" He asked. "Yeah I do Austin, I care about you a lot and I don't want you to go anywhere." I told him. "Well it's a good thing I'm not going anywhere." He replied smiling at me. "Yeah it is." I replied. "So what's going on with you?" I asked Austin. "Nothing much, just laying here missing you." He replied. "I wish I were there." I said pouting at him. "I wish you were here too." He replied. After a while of us talking we said bye and hung up. "So what are you thinking should we let you go to the track?" Dad asked at dinner. "Yeah, I need to show my support to my team and my boyfriend." I replied.
"You'll be out for the rest of the indoor season, you'll be back for the outdoors." Dad told me. "That's, what?" I asked with a sad confused look on my face. "I'm sorry dear." Momma said getting up and hugging me. "No dirt bikes at all?" I asked looking at them. "No dear, I'm sorry." Dad said. "What do I do?" I asked. "School." Seb asked. "I mean about the tracks and supercross." I said. "Oh well your boyfriend is racing, and we don't have to leave school." Keith said. "You three are no help." I said to my brothers before going to my room. "I'm out for the rest of the indoor season." I told Austin when he picked up. "Awe Air, I know how upset you must be." He said.
"Yeah, riding is my life, now I have no clue what to do." I said. "It's ok, you can come be with me during race weekends so you can be close to bikes still." He told me. "It's not the same as being on a bike, which I can't do until outdoors." I said. "There's nothing we can do about that right now sweetheart just sot tight and maybe we can sneak you on a bike, maybe not a ride but we can think of something." Austin said. "Thank you Aust, you know how to kind of cheer someone up." I replied smiling at him. "Good, now I have to go I'll talk to you when I get the chance and I'll see you soon." Austin said. "Yeah ok, bye Aust." I said. "Bye Air." He replied before ending the call. "So do you want to move?" Dad asked me walking into my room.
"I don't know." I replied. "We can go look at houses and apartments closer to Austin." He said. "Are you sure?" I asked him. "Yeah pumpkin, I want you to be happy and being here, I can tell it doesn't make you happy, you'll learn a lot more if you go to Florida or California where other riders are." He said. "Austin's in Oklahoma." I told him. "Do you want to live with Austin?" He asked. "You do know you're my dad and you shouldn't want me to live in a house full of guys right?" I asked him. "Yeah, uh I know some people in Oklahoma." Dad said. "Of course you do." I replied before he walked out of my room on his phone. "Baby sis could you really moving to Oklahoma?" Keith asked as my three brothers walking into my room. "Maybe." I replied. "Closer to Austin?" Adam asked. "Yeah closer to Austin." I replied. "Cool." Seb said before they left.
