Chapter 7

Luca could hear the faint giggling from the room at the rear end of his private plane. It has been 2 hours since they left Heathrow. He's been going through some documents sent by his main office in Greece. He didn't realize how long he'd been sitting there.

Another set of giggles, louder this time. He stood up and stretched his muscles. James, Mona and Alexio, his body guard when he travels were asleep in their reclined seats.

"Would you like something to eat or drink, Mr. Conti?" The stewardess asked. "Later. I want to check on my son and fiancée first," he answered while walking towards the room. It really felt great telling people that Kayla is his fiancée. He smiled to himself.

He slowly turned the knob and peered inside. What he saw warmed his heart. Kayla was on her stomach on the bed. At least 6 toys were lined up on her back. She was covering her face with her hands and when she peered through her fingers, Yuri covered her eyes with his own small hands and giggled. He jumped up and down the bed still giggling. Then, he suddenly sat down and yawned.

"Time to sleep, baby," she cleared the bed of the littered toys and laid him down bringing the cover up and over him. She laid down next to him and hugged him murmuring something in his ears to which Yuri responded with a beautiful smile. He can hear her humming a familiar sound. Anyone could tell that she loves him like the boy does her. He'll do everything in his power to make her look at him with that same light in her eyes when she looks at his son. Soon, he promised.

Her eyes drifted closed and thinking that she's asleep, he tiptoed into the room to join them. He waited for a few minutes to make sure she's sound asleep before sliding in beside her. She was facing Yuri who was on the far-left side of the bed. He turned and embraced her from the back effectively spooning her. Another taste of heaven, he smiled to himself. He fell asleep in record time feeling utterly at peace with the world.

Kayla woke up feeling immobilized. She couldn't move. She blinked her eyes to dispel the remnants of sleep and slowly turned her head behind her. She gasped finding herself face to face with Luca who was still sound asleep. She panicked and did a quick mental check of her body. Nothing felt different. Besides, she was still embracing Yuri. "I am getting paranoid," she thought.

She took the opportunity to study his face. Since meeting him, the only thing that's glued to her mind was his green eyes. Well, she was busy understanding his terms to be bothered with how he looks. She doesn't fall for the guy's looks, truth be told. But seeing his face this close is slowly getting into her. He got long, black lashes, as black as his eyebrows and nape-length hair. She wondered if his hair is as soft as it looks and how would it feel like if she's to run her fingers through them. His ears well-complimented the shape of his face. She likes how prominent his nose was. But what really piqued her interest was his mouth. She can think of all sorts of adjectives for it but she'd settle for sensuous. She remembered his kiss when she first met him at his conference room. It was brief but she could still feel tingles down her toes every time she remembers. And boy, did she remember?

Her smile was cut short when one of his legs moved over her thighs. He sure is very tall. He's probably 6'4", give or take an inch. She only reaches his shoulders. Her petite frame is a blimp compared to his well-built body.

He looked formidable and as hard as his biceps but she knew he can be as sweet as day. And what she loved most about him was that he's full of surprises. Love? Now, where did that word come from? She chuckled to herself. Oh, she just loves surprises.

The other day, after they have sealed their agreement, they went back to the suite to have lunch with Yuri who, as usual was waiting at the elevator door. After lunch, Luca went down to his office while she played with Yuri. When the boy was having a nap. She called to tell him she has to go meet Misty, her best friend to say goodbye. But he told her to wait for him at the suite because he was on his way up. She was at the living area reading a magazine while waiting for him when the elevator door opened and a screaming Misty was running to her.
