I love The Hunger Games trilogy so much I don't think you understand. there's a lot of things from the books that people argue about or that I just have an opinion on that I felt like sharing, so that's what I'm doing.
DISCLAIMER:
the following words said are simply matters of opinion. my opinions. they don't affect your life, therefore, I ask that you would at least respect me as a person with the right to opinions. if you respect me, I'll respect you. simple as that. When Katniss began loving Peeta
I feel like many people have different views on when Katniss began to love Peeta truly, and that's understandable because everyone interprets Katniss's personal thoughts throughout the books differently. my personal belief is that she started loving him in Catching Fire, when he hit the forcefield. I think the thought of losing him buried itself in her mind and from that day forward she didn't want to lose him and she knew that. however, I think that even though her love began there, I think it was buried. I think she was just consumed with so much pressure that it was there, but she wouldn't really admit it to herself. and I think her coldness towards Peeta in the later parts of Mockingjay were a result of her overall anger at the fact that he was taken away and he now saw her as she saw herself. it was obvious that she truly cared for him, and I think you could see the subconscious feeling of love in many situations. it's definitely more prominent in the books because you get a much clearer insight to what Katniss is feeling, rather than just dialogue. in the books her brokenness caused by Peeta was described better which led you to see her soft side towards him. I think she had loved him since the Quell, but she never really admitted to herself until she finally admitted to other people around her.Who is better for Katniss
there's a huge argument over who is better for Katniss, Peeta or Gale. I personally believe that Collins made the correct choice of Peeta when she wrote The Hunger Games. yes, Gale was Katniss's best friend and they knew each other so well and they were alike, but that's exactly the problem. they were too alike. they were both fire. their personalities were hostile and fierce. when you mix fire and fire, you just get a destructive inferno. also, Gale just didn't understand Katniss the way Peeta could. Gale wasn't apart of the Games. he didn't experience what Katniss and Peeta did. it's like in Mockingjay when Gale was talking to Katniss when they were talking about the Nut in District 2. they had an argument over how killing is always personal. Gale thought killing wasn't personal at all, but he had never been in the Games. meanwhile, Katniss, who had been through 2 Games, knew for sure that killing is always personal. Peeta just understands her better. He's the only on who can calm her nightmares. Gale tried that at the beginning of Catching Fire and he failed. Peeta has given Katniss hope from the start. He knows, he understands. He's her dandelion. The Argument
"Team Gale or Team Peeta?" no. no teams. this isn't Twilight. this question is so stupid honestly. The Hunger Games is not supposed to focus on the romance. it was written to portray a girl who was forced to grow up too quickly and become someone who she never planned on being. she had to save a country and the people she loved. it's a story of loss, hunger, survival, bravery. it's not supposed to be about who she chooses in the end. The Hunger Games is about the hardships of a girl who grew up in a country run by totalitarianism and she was the only hope. it follows her through everything she must experience, good and bad. she loses a piece of herself. and people have the nerve to try and make it about the love triangle. Suzanne Collins didn't even focus on it too much in the books. she kept the story raw, like it was meant to be. for some reason, people decided to go all Twilight on it and that isn't okay. it takes away from the story. Katniss was not trying to figure out who she loved, she was trying to figure out how to survive and save those around her.well, that's everything I've got on The Hunger Games for now.
until next time, enjoy life.
