OKAY so I've always been a big fan of Hamilton but recently I had become obsessed. no joke like my YouTube history from the past week is just Hamilton videos and dan and phil. (and the video of patrick stump and pete wentz playing with puppies. if you haven't seen it please go watch it. it's probably one of the cutest videos I've ever seen) but anyways I've become so obsessed with Hamilton lately and I know, I know, I'm really late to the party but either way I'm too far gone to ever go back.
one thing from Hamilton I have become obsessed with is Daveed Diggs. can we talk about Daveed Diggs for a second? yes? good because I was going to anyways. first of all, HIS SMILE. HAVE YOU SEEN THAT MAN SMILE? HES PRACTICALLY AN ANGEL DESCENDED FROM ABOVE. secondly, HIS FRENCH ACCENT IS AMAZING. tbh if I could have one last thing before death I would want Daveed to talk to me in his French accent for 5 hours. his rap in Guns and Ships is great. I love it. I can't rap it yet, though I've tried, but I love it. and his performance as Thomas Jefferson. especially in What'd I Miss. and lastly, his humility. I've watched so many of his interviews and he's so down to earth and humble and he's just an angel, okay.
another thing, or should I say person, from Hamilton is Lin Manuel Miranda. I mean, come on. he's a genius. he wrote the musical, wrote all the music for the musical, starred as the main character of the musical, spent 5 years researching before writing the musical, and he succeeded. the man is literally a genius. he took one of our founding fathers and gave us an entire history lesson but made it interesting by setting it to contemporary music. the man's incredible. not to mention he's an amazing actor and singer. (also don't forget the fact that he practically wrote the entire Moana soundtrack and he wrote another musical)
I really love King George's character in the musical. You'll Be Back is such a catchy and good song and he's just so funny but serious at the same time. it's great.
ANGELICA IS AMAZING OKAY SO IS JOHN LAURENS WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE ELIZA IS GREAT TOO AND LETS NOT FORGET HERCULES MULLIGAN WHO LITERALLY LAYS DOWN THE SICKEST BEATS
and I didn't forget my favorite. EVERYONE GIVE IT UP FOR AMERICAS FAVORITE FIGHTIN FRENCHMAN
LAFAYETTE
my favorite songs. (all of them duh) Guns and Ships, Dear Theodosia, You'll Be Back, Yorktown, What'd I Miss, Cabinet Battle #1, One Last Time, The Story of Tonight, Burn, Best of Wives and Best of Women, and Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story
yeah I love Hamilton.
off making up rediculous hand motions to the hamilton soundtrack,
