Chapter 14- Vivian

Vivian’s POV

So life kinda sucks right now. Rebecca has been dating a fucking batshit crazy tranny who likes to threaten and kidnap people. What a dreamboat right? After she found Haily in Mark’s basement, Rebecca freaked out. Mark came in to try and explain himself and she kept punching him until he was knocked out. She called the police and got an ambulance for Haily. Rebecca texted all of us and told us to meet her at the hospital. Scott came to Mark’s house and insisted on riding in the ambulance with “his sugarbear.” He was having a panic attack the whole time. We thought we were going to have to steal some sedative to knock him out. Mark was taken to jail. He got a holding cell right next to Claire. Her hearing is today and we have no idea how to pay the bail. Her mom has no idea that she is being faced with charges of vandalism of school property and the possession of illegal drugs. If she did, Claire would probably be put up for adoption. Right now we are sitting in Haily's hospital room as Rebecca finishes her story.

 "...so then I called the police and then texted y'all and now here we are."

"I still can't believe Mark has a cooter...." Alyssa said.

"Lis, isn't the important thing here the fact that Haily was beaten and starved. His, Her, UGH Its lack of male parts didn't keep it from going psycho on my girlfriend." Scott was crying softly as he stroked Haily's forehead.

"How are we paying Claire's bail? And Alyssa I don't feel like you told us the whole story. So spill now." I was pissed. I mean I thought that my new friends were supposed to make life easier. When did everything go up in flames and turn into Glee??? My life was supposed to change during high school. The doctor said everything would get better when I wasn't at a school holding all my memories of Lily. But it hasn't. Haily's beaten body really isn't helping my situation.

"There really isn't much to tell. Travis is Claire's cousin. He's run away again and changed his number. He forced her to vandalize the school and the weed was his." Alyssa recited the facts with a tired expression. "But there's something we need to discuss. I have a...friend...that can pay for the bail. He's old enough and all we have to do is give the money to him. Travis texted me right before his number changed telling me he would pay back her bail once he got the money. But I really really need to let you know exactly who this friend is. Please promise you won't freak out on me.."

"Things can't really get any worse around here. I mean after Becca's big reveal about Mark, I don't think anything will suprise us too much." I stated dryly.

"Well umm...." Alyssa looked more nervous than hell. "Viv do you remember Ryan's cousin Dakota?"

"Tall, muscular, dark hair, sexy eyes, but kinda quiet?" She nods "yeah he picked us up the other day"

"Well he's kinda..um..my..uhh...boyfriend" She said finally after a long assortment of umms and uhhs.

"Wait but isn't he like 19????? Are you in an illegal relationship?????" I almost screamed. Woah did not see that one coming...

"Scream louder will you? I don't think they heard you in China." Alyssa sarcastically remarked

"Holy shit!"

"Yes, holy shit. Yes I'm in a fucking illegal relationship with a guy that's almost 5 fucking years older! Let the fucking mockery and lectures begin!!!"

Alyssa sat down and started crying. Rebecca and I looked at each other in suprise. Alyssa never cried. N.E.V.E.R.

We both walked over to her. "Lissie, honey, we aren't going to lecture you. We aren't judge you at all. Look at me" Lis removed her face from her hands and looked up at me. "It's going to be okay. Alright? Listen! Dakota is going to help us bail Claire out. Claire is not going to jail. Mark is never going to hurt us again. Haily is going to be okay and you and Dakota's relationship will be too."
