Daehyun glanced at the book for awhile, more questions filling his head by the second. He sighed, tossing the book on the bed, before leaving the room. He found Yongguk exactly where he said he was going to be.
"Hyung..." Daehyun spoke up, coming to stand at the end of the couch.
"I know that you aren't done reading that book since you've only been in there for like a minute, so what are you doing out here?" Yongguk only turned to face the younger when he was finished talking.
"I have a few more questions, questions I know that the book won't answer." Yongguk sighed, but turned the television off.
"Come and sit. I will answer as best as I can." Daehyun smiled at his friend, sitting down next to him.
"So, how do I remember you?" He asked, not even having the courage to look at Yongguk. His head was already pounding from thinking too much.
"We were friends before the accident." Yongguk answer was pretty blunt and vague, but he wasn't going to tell Daehyun anything that Youngjae was going to explain anyway.
"What about Jongup?" Daehyun glanced up.
"Did you meet him before or after you read the chapter about him?" Yongguk questioned.
"Hmm... after. The book talks about Jongup in the first chapter. I saw Jongup the other day." Yongguk nodded, placing a hand on Daehyun's shoulder.
"Youngjae explained in the last chapter how the doctor said you can only remember if you heard about it. You read about Jongup, so when you saw him your brain registered that you knew the younger from before." Daehyun sighed, before getting up.
"I'll... I'll just go read the book." Yongguk smiled at his friend.
"Don't skip any of the chapters. Especially this one. It will help you understand a lot. Don't worry too much though; I'll still be sitting right here waiting for you." He reassured the younger as he watched him walk back to his room. Daehyun glanced one more time at Yongguk, before closing his door. He reluctantly walk all the way over to his bed and sat down, picking up the book. He opened it up to the next chapter.
"Chapter 8: First Breakup." All Daehyun did was read the title out loud, before images began to blind his vision. First it was just images, like pictures flashing in his brain.
Youngjae feeding some birds at the park while he waited for Dae to come back with their ice cream.
Youngjae's peaceful sleeping face, before Dae woke him up.
Youngjae's beautiful smile after Dae told him he loved him.
Youngjae's face crinkled up as he tasted Dae's very first homecooked meal.
Youngjae's flustered, sweaty face right before he climaxed.
Youngjae's crying face after his mother had insulted him the first time they met.
The images quickly turned to a memory, a memory he never knew was there.
Youngjae and Daehyun were taking their normal walk around the park during the spring. The weather is not too hot or too cold, it's perfect. Especially when the wind blew at the right time, the sun shining and making Youngjae glow like an angel. With a skip of his heart beat, Daehyun squeezed the hand he was holding, just to make sure the younger was still there and not a figment of his imagination.
