CHAPTER 17

WHO'S TO BLAME?

ANA POV

Then I felt something gather inside of me and I looked up to meet his spirit's eyes.

"No." I felt the fire begin to catch within me and it was glorious. "You will not leave me." I felt his cold hand clasped to my chest and I felt the fire burst to life. "You will live and be like me." I saw the fire fly down my arm to our joined hands. "Forever." Then the fire engulfed us both and for a moment there was nothing.

I blinked at the brightness several times before I could actually see. Then I remembered what had happened and I sat up with a gasp. I was surrounded by bright shimmering violet light but why? I turned my head and saw Zac lying beside me, his hand still clasping mine but something was different. Then his head turned and his eyes met mine. I shrieked and rolled so I ended up on top of him. Then I pressed my lips to his and reveled in him for just a moment. When I pulled back and glanced around us I realized we were still in the shimmering light and...

"Yes it is violet because it is our completed mated bond. We are joined mind...heart...body...and soul. I also know what you did last night if you are wondering." I looked down at him and kissed his lips softly unable to believe he was really here.

"What's that?" He chuckled and sat up causing me to slide into his lap.

"You gave me half of what you are or you made me everything of what you are. I am unsure of which."

"So our children will be Sidhe and Banshee?" I touched his cheek, reassuring myself.

"Yes as will any descendents of our line. So we have saved the Banshees and the Sidhes." My eyes met his as we thought of what had led up to these events.

"So there's one last thing to do?" He smiled and I smiled back.

"Or one thing to start us off. This is only the beginning my Wildfire." I grinned.

"So I can do it because he really..." Zac smiled and kissed me softly as he stood and took me with him.

"I know and we need to plan but maybe we should tone down our mated bond first." I giggled as he sat me down and we both concentrated. The light faded to show that thousands of people were surrounding us, all different races. And I saw the guards had brought back Ashton and Angle. I smiled, grabbed Zac's hand, and winked before I looked at the crowd who had quieted so we could speak.

"People we have a plan so we had better get started." Then the cheers started again as I leaned forward and kissed Zac, maybe a little too deeply, for a crowd.

..........

I stood in front of the dresser staring at my own reflection as I put on my eyeliner. I blinked wide violet eyes and stared at myself struggling to imbue my confidence. I looked down at my black halter with 'BITCH' printed diagonally across the front and my black leather pants, trying to find my happy anger but all I could find was fear. I couldn't tell Zac I was scared shitless. I bit my lip and walked over to the bed to sit down. Sitting there I flashed back to Racheal's body, torn and broken. How her spirit had looked so innocent and desolate. Then I pictured the face of her killer. His eyes were so dark a brown they were almost black and his hair was highlights of brown and black. He looked normal, sane, but he wasn't. He was a crazed werewolf with a penchant for eating humans and I was going to put him down.
