CHAPTER 14
YOU'VE BEEN HOLDING BACK
ANA POV
I woke up to the screams of Avon, Ashton, Garret, and Lai as they leapt onto the bed.
"Power bomb!" I groaned as a knee landed in my side. Then I heard Ashton gasp as she realized we were both naked. Zak's cover had slip so she could see his gorgeous ass. I giggled as she blushed. Zak looked at me and snapped his finger and we were both wearing clothes. I gaped at him and he laughed aloud then. He looked at the kids' happy faces for a second then he smiled and spoke.
"There will be things we must get used to in a household together. Next time you must knock first please." Then Avon was giggling as he started tickling her as I narrowed my eyes.
"You are so teaching me how to do that." His laugh caressed my mind as he spoke. "Later my love. Let us play with the children now." I smiled as I lifted my pillow and smacked him in the face and then it was on like Donkey Kong.
..........
Thirty minutes we were dressed and sparring in the gym. I liked to fight after breakfast but I was still riled from last night and Zak seemed way too happy about it. I rolled my eyes as he pulled yet another punch so he didn't hit me quite as hard.
"You know you're never going to be happy that way." I turned to look at Axe, who was leaning against the wall watching us. I glared trying to urge him to shut up with a look. Of course it didn't work.
"If he won't challenge you then you'll get bored and I don't want you unhappy, sis." I looked at Zak but he was no help. Stupid warrior face. I sighed and threw up my hands.
"Zak, get out of the ring and promise to stay right there. Please?" He stared me down a moment then silently slid under the rope as Axe slid in. I smiled and handed Zak my gloves. He raised a brow and I shrugged. "Trust me it will help." Axe was grinning that smug stupid ass grin as he put on his gloves. His smiled faded when I double punched him in the kidney. He grunted and swung at my jaw for a right jab but I leapt back. Then I dashed behind him and slammed my fist into the back of his head. It cracked my knuckle but he was probably seeing double. I was too busy being smug because he slammed his fist into my eye with a right jab. I grunted and followed up with a round house kick to the head. He fell to the ground scowling at me as Zak grasped me by the wrist and yanked me out of the ring into his arms.
"We need a moment of privacy." Axe started to speak but Zak turned and growled at him like a wolf. I started as he yanked me toward the door but everyone else had fallen silent and stayed where they were at. I gasped as he tightened his grip on my wrist and dashed me up the stairs to our room. As soon as he'd shut the door he let me go and I backed up so I was against the door. His arms were on either side of my head as he caged me in. I bit my lip as his warrior face dropped and hard anger showed through. My body quivered with fear as he leaned close and looked me in the eyes. His gaze went to my cheek where Axe had hit me and I sighed. Of course that was why he was mad. He didn't think I could handle a hit. He slammed a fist into the door and I jerked as he spoke.
"Take a hit! Are you fucking insane?" I blinked at him he was yelling and cursing? That was new. "Because I didn't want to scare you off and that's not the point. Do you know how hard it was for me not to rip off your brother's head? I wanted to kill him. I don't give a damn if you can take getting hit by a truck I don't want to see you hurt. And I will not stand by the next time it happens. I tried to be patient with you. I didn't want you afraid of me." He stopped speaking as I grabbed his shirt and yanked him so his lips were touching mine as I spoke.
