Chapter 27: Harry

After an hour, Jazlyn and I went downstairs. Angelina wasn't happy with us. In fact, she was giving us the silent treatment. As Jazlyn made herself pancakes, I was forced to sanitize the couch.

"So, what did you discover about Jacob?" Louis asked her as they were drinking blood.

I stopped scrubbing to hear what she had to say. Angelina tilted her head towards my direction. "I would answer your question, Louis, but the sound of a brush scrubbing against a couch isn't filling the room," she said calmly.

"I want to listen!" I whined.

"You have strong hearing, you can listen while scrubbing."

I groaned and continued to scrub,. "Happy now?"

"Anyway, I did find out the truth and it's rather...drastic."

"Drastic how?" Zayn asked.

"Damon was Jacob's younger brother."

I stopped scrubbing at the sound of that. "What?"

Angelina nodded, but gestured me to keep scrubbing, so I did. "Here's Jacob's whole history. He was created by Niall, which is how he became a first class. Jacob's family were poor, but a strong believer of God. When they discovered that Jacob was changed, that's how vampires started to become known. Jacob was thrown out from his family. Secretly, Jacob hated Niall, but followed the term 'keep your friends close, but your enemies closer'. He made a secret goal to ruin Niall's life."

"And when you came into the picture, it was his very first tactic," Liam said, understanding.

Angelina nodded. "We thought that Jacob was in love with me and obsessed with the idea of having me, but really, he just wanted to take me away from Niall. In a sense, he succeeded. He was secretly a great influence to Niall's family. Anyway, since his family thought Jacob was a failure, they gave birth to Damon. Jacob didn't like the fact that he was being replaced so he turned his brother and killed his family. Jacob was protective of Damon and taught him his sick ways. After Jacob found out that Damon was killed, he made it a responsibility to destroy whoever killed him."

"But Niall and you killed him, why is he after Jazlyn now?" I asked.

Angelina looked at Jazlyn and looked at her hands. "Harry, he thinks your reason why Damon was killed. He thinks if it weren't for you, Damon would probably still be alive. If you didn't kill Mason or Jared, none of this would've happened. Now, since his mind is set on that belief, he wants to take away the most valuable thing in your life, as revenge for taking Damon, the most valuable thing to Jacob at that time."

"What about you?" Jazlyn asked her.

"He still hates Niall. Niall took away his family's love, the most valuable thing to Jacob at the time. I'm the most valuable thing to Niall. He'll do whatever it takes to keep us both away from them."

"So, do you think Niall will convince his family to back off?" I asked.

"I already did."

Angelina looked at the door and there was Niall. She immediately stood up and hugged him. "What happened?"

"They agreed to stand down from helping Jacob, but they aren't allowing us to break any laws." Niall looked at Angelina. "Please, tell me you didn't kill Jacob."

She shook her head, "He got away."

"We need to come up with a plan to keep him away from us," Niall said.

"Why can't we kill him?" I demanded. "Your parents let him get away with everything. Why can't they let us get away with something like this?"

Niall sighed, "They said it seemed unfair to do it for someone in the royal bloodline."
