The weekend is over and I still hadn't heard from Terrence. I've called his phone and I get no answer, I've left at least 20 voicemail's and over 100 text messages. I would have went to his house had I had the bus money, but Im broke until Wednesday. I have money in my savings, but I cant use that if I plan on leaving this hell hole. I didn't sleep very well last night from all this worrying. I had to get up and get ready for school, I had finished my school paper over the weekend, but I doubt Ill get a good grade on it. It's not easy writing about your own life especially when you don't want people to know the struggles you've been through.
"Felicia Im leaving in 30mins, so as usual if you want a ride to school you better be ready to go, and Im not gonna wait on you."
Her voice just made me wanna puke, I hated it when she spoke to me for any reason. I could be having the best day ever and she would ruin it just with the opening of her mouth.
"Aight ma Im getting ready now, Ill be down there in time to leave."
I took my shower and got my things together, just as I was about to walk out the room my iPod went off. I ran over to my nightstand and picked it up with hopes that Terrence had finally gotten back to me. I was quickly disappointed when I read the name on the message.
Carter: Hey beautiful, I haven't heard from you in a few days and was wondering how you were doing? Ill be on your side of town this morning if you wanted to maybe get some breakfast or coffee. Hmu beautiful :)
I smiled a little, feeling good that he was actually thinking about me and that he wanted to see me. I had forgotten all about him because I was so focused on what was going on with Terrence. I wrote back to maybe see if we could reschedule.
Me: I have school and then work right after, maybe if your not busy around 4pm you could swoop me from work and we can have an early dinner or something?
I don't know if that was a good idea or not seeing as I really dont know him all like that but I really didn't have any ride home. I couldn't hope that Terrence remembered he was my ride after work and I didn't want to be stranded.
Carter: Sounds like a plan. Send me the address and Ill be there exactly at 4pm to pick u up, take some extra clothes to put on unless you wearing your uniform all night LOL Ttyl beautiful, I cant wait :)
I smiled again to myself and was a lil excited to be going on an actual date with someone. Honestly the only person Ive ever been around and interested in is Terrence and we all know that's not happening.
"Felicia Im headed to the car LETS GO NOW" She pulled me from my thoughts and I ran to my closet to pick out an outfit real fast. I picked my favorite skinny jeans and my zebra print T-shirt that hangs off one shoulder. I stuffed the outfit in my bag and ran out to catch ma before she left me again.
