Terrence POV

 I watch as Felicia walks away from me as if she cant stand me. Not only that, but she's with that guy I seen her with at Mcdonalds. I understand her being angry at me for not calling over the weekend. I just wanted to get our apartment decorated and ready to go, before I talked to her. I was going to wait and see the apartment together, but I thought it would be even better if I had if furnished first.

I knew if I called, she would have gotten it out of me. She knows when im lying or hiding something. I was at the furniture store when ma called me to tell me about James' condition. Frankly I dont care whether that bastard dies or not, I came here for my mom.

"Ma what happened between you and Carmen and Felicia?" She walks over to me and buries her head in my shoulder. She keeps shaking her head back an forth as tears roll down her face. I dont know what the hell happened but I need to figure this shit out.

"Ma talk to me, please tell me" She looks up at me with black streaks  falling down her face and points to Carmen who is hunched up on the ground crying. "That bitch right there has been having an affair with JAMES FOR 2O FUCKING YEARS, THAT'S MY PROBLEM."

"Yo Carmen is this true?" I dont know why I asked that because obviously it is. What I dont understand is why keep it a secret this long.

Carmen stands up and walks over to me and ma "Your mother knew about us, I dont know why she sittin up here like this is news to her. The only reason James kept her around was because of you. Believe it or not James cares about you, even though I dont see why. Oh and ya mom only stayed around because she loves the lifestyle James provides for her"

"YOU BITCH" My mother screams as she rushes over and slaps Carmen in the face. It all happened so fast that I couldnt stop her, but I did manage to restrain her from doing anything more. Carmen puts her hand up to her face, although Im guessing she knows she deserves it. "OK YOU LIL BITCH, THAT'S THE LAST TIME YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME, DO IT AGAIN AND JAMES WONT BE THE ONLY PERSON LAYIN UP IN THIS HOSPITAL. She just walks off after that to get on the elevator.

"Ma did you know about their affair?" She looks at me and shakes her head yes. I cant believe she knew and stayed with his cheating ass anyways. "Why in the fuck did you stay with him them?"

"Terrence he's the only man Ive been with since you were born, I thought he stopped sleeping with her years ago, but I guess I was wrong. I mean what the hell am I supposed to do, where am I supposed to go huh? I have no job experience, we have no where to live" She walks away from me as if the conversation is over. I dont want to tell her about the apartment until I talk to Felicia. I dont know if Felicia would mind living with my mother.

"Terrence do you understand what their affair means?" Her question caught me off guard, I mean should it means something to me?

"Yes i do, It means you need to leave him and be done with him and start a new life."

"No T, it means that Felicia is James' daughter, that's why she left the way she did. Your lil princess just found out that the man she calls uncle is really her dad."

What the fuck!! That never crossed my mind, Felicia must be devastated right now. It all makes sense to me why she was so upset. I wasn't there for her like I should have been, Ive got to find her.

"Ma Ive got to go find Felicia and make sure she's okay, this has got to be the worst thing for her right now and I know she needs me."  I decide to take the steps instead of waiting for the elevator, but before I can make it to the steps door my mother calls out to me.
