With the list memorized, Owen was rushing around the store. This is the third store he had been to today. There was only less than half a hour before work and he had been searching for over a hour. Still hasn't found what he has been looking for.

He already has a plethora amount of m&m, but not enough roses. In fact he has none, that is why he is currently rushing around town attempting to find just even one rose.

Just as he was about to give up, a whole wall display of at least a hundred bouquets of roses - not really, but it seemed like it - all different colors. Ranging from the classic red to even black. To be honest, it was a little overwhelming.

Cassidy had said she doesn't care what kind of roses. So that did not help at all with narrowing down the choices. He decided to grab one of the classic rose and a brown, because if he remembers correctly from the last time he saw her, that was her eye color.

He wasn't getting her, all her favorite things as an apology for his recent behavior - the behavior that had no excuse - it just so happened Valentine's Day was coming soon. To him, Cassidy deserves it, something, might as well it be a classic cliché gift.

Owen may not know a lot about Cassidy, but he knows she loves cliché gifts. Or at least she used to back in high school. Her - now ex - boyfriend, used to shower her with endless gifts.

Now that he thinks about it, that may part of the reason why she broke up with him so suddenly. So with that in mind he thought it would be best to just get the blueish green ones without the classic red ones.

Owen isn't great at this. He never had any attraction for a girl, especially one who was as beautiful as Cassidy.

A quick check at his watch alerted him that there was only ten minutes before work and he still had to make it to his shift on time. Because everyone who works at the Beach Shack knows how strict the boss is.

Owen moved over to the checkout counter to pay for the brown rose and any other unexpected things.

"Um," Owen cleared his throat in order to get the lady's attention for the magazine she immense in. "Excuse me?"

Judging by the way she jumped, she didn't expect anyone to be in the bouquet. Which is surprising since they opened up about an hour now.

"Sorry, there, Sugar. I wasn't expecting anyone. The shop doesn't usually get busy until around ten thirty," she said waving her hands around.

Three hours from now.

"Ah," he nodded. Owen's phone when off, letting him know time was running out.

"Okay, anyways, I am assuming there is somewhere you need to go, considering your phone or something is going off the hook. What do you have for me today?"

"Just these," he said sliding the roses over to her.

"Alright, that will be twenty dollars, would you like a vase to go with it?" she asked.

"How much more would that cost?" he asked pulling the cash out of his wallet.

"Only about five to fifty dollars, depending on what one you want," she said bending down behind the counter.

"I think she will like a simple clear one. Do you have anything like that?" he asked tapping his foot, anxiously.

"Yep, I have a perfect one for you!" she exclaimed. "That will be ten dollars more, please."

"Thank you," he said handing her the cash.

"No problem, sugar, your girlfriend will love these," she passed over the roses with a giant grin on her face. Showcasing the multiple wrinkle lines that have got to be from laughing. Owen could not think of another reason why.

"Oh, um thank you. But she's not my girlfriend," Owen said shaking his head and trying to get the red to leave his face.

"If you say so, however, your face says otherwise."

"Thank you for this, ma'am, but I really have to go," he said after his phone went off again.

"Alright, you come back now, you hear?" she shouted after him.

"Sure thing," he shouted back, not knowing if it actually will happen or not. No matter how much he would like it to.

Owen ran to his job hoping to not be late. Luck must be on his side because even though he was about a minute late, his boss wasn't there when he arrived.

One of the rules of the Beach Shack, was if you make it in before the boss, you are not late, you also get to leave ten minutes early.

Now that Owen had all of these things for Cassidy, he should start planning on how he can give them to her. He doesn't want to meet her quite yet, especially after his recent actions.

He decided to send a quick message to Cassidy to see if she was awake. Then he will make his plan then.

Good morning, Sweetheart. Are you awake?

Not even a second later, his phone pinged again.

Yes. Well at least now I am.

He grimaced, not liking he was the cause of her not getting enough sleep.

Sorry about that. I let you go if you want to sleep more.

Her response was expected. The message sent and the quick reply.

No it's fine. So what have you been doing this morning?

Just picking up a few things. Work starts soon.

Ah.

"Owen, get started! People are starting to file in!" his boss' voice carried out from his office.

Alright Sweetheart. I have to go. I just want to leave you with this - Prepare to be spoiled.
