Good morning Owen.

Oh, hey. Good morning, Cassidy.

How are you?

Honestly, I do not really know. I am so confused right now.

Why?

It's nothing really. It is just work stuff. That is if I can call it that anymore.

Please tell me. I'm interested in what you have to say. What do you mean by that last sentence?

It's not that I think you are not interested, believe me. I know you are. It's just hard for me to understand much less put it in words.

Take it easy, and start from the beginning.

When I got to work yesterday it were completely empty. That should have been my first sign of warning.

Go on. I'm listening.

Okay, thanks for not saying much. Can you continue that, please? Right now I really just want to rant, not have a conversation that much.

Sure. No problem, I'll just lend a listening ear.

Thanks. Well anyways I was there for over an hour before there was any type of activity. And that was just my boss throwing a wash cloth at my head, making me smack my head against the counter.

Oh goodness. That is actually quite funny.

Hilarious. But after injuring me he called me over to talk at a table.

Well, what did he say?

That's where the confusing part comes into play.

He said he was letting me go. That's why I said I don't know if I can call it work stuff anymore.

Oh wow. That sucks. Did he explain why he was doing that?

Yeah. He said something about rarely having customers and having too many employees.

To be honest, Owen, I don't see how this is confusing. Sure it sucks not having a job anymore, but, I don't really how it's confusing like you said.

I haven't gotten to that part yet.

He said it's time to start living my life and told me to look at colleges and pursue my dreams.

Oh, jeez. So he just let you go without any prior notice and only told you 'start living your life'?

Well, not before offering to pay for tuition amongst other things.

Oh my goodness, Owen! This is huge! I think you should take it.

I told him I will think about it more and get back to him.

You should. I will stand by you with whatever you decide.

Oh, and Cassidy?

Thanks for your interest in this.

Owen, I am always interested in what you have to say and do. And I am always going to be interested in what you have to say and what you do.

Thank you. It's the same for me. I am always interested in you. That's why I started talking to you.
