Scene Ten - Two Months Later
Cassidy slowly walked around Time Square amazed at all of the big television screens and bright lights surrounded her. Not to forget the New Year ball, that surprisingly was still visible, even in the summer.
For the first time in her life she is in a different city, heck, a different state all by herself.
Save for Owen.
Yes, today was the day where they are going to meet. Finally after almost the whole summer of talking, hours and hours of arguments and kind words and compliments, the day has finally come. And Cassidy couldn't have been more nervous.
The only pieces of information she has of Owen is his name and what is face look like. Cassidy knows the last thing because of all the times she has spent staring at his - now deleted - picture on the Beach Shack website.
These two things do not help much with finding him in a crowded Time Square.
Once Cassidy knew how tall Owen was, well not down to the inches, but where her head ends up on him. Although not that much since they have not hugged or gotten remotely close to each other, except for that one time where she dressed up as a mail lady to spy on him.
That was one of her favorite days. Never in her life had she had enough courage to put herself out there. Even though she had been in a complete disguise. It still counted to her.
And like the majority of things in her life recently, Owen has been the cause of that.
Sure, Cassidy had always been able to do these things. The only thing she needed was to realize the problems and know how to fix them. Plus, knowing how avoid certain situations like that for the future. Owen helped push her in the right directions.
So, it's not surprise how much Owen means to her. Even though, nobody probably would have thought that Cassidy would have feelings for Owen, much less that she would love him.
Cassidy certainly didn't think so. That's why she is here, in New York, about to meet him.
Owen has affected Cassidy's life so much he is always on her mind. She can barely spend a day without his face and voice constantly interrupting her thoughts.
It may be a surprise, but Cassidy had been able to never spend a day thinking about a boy. Nobody had ever captured her attention this much before.
But it's always Owen who will be able to do that. Everything always makes it way back to him. No matter how hard she will try. It's practically unavoidable.
However, she doesn't think she'll change it. Not even for the world. Especially with how she feels whenever she thinks about him, whenever she hears his voice, whenever she sees him.
That feeling is happening right now. The unexplainable, unfathomable, amazing feeling. The feeling she gets only when the love of her life is trying reach her.
