Scene Eight
"Cassidy, darling! You're going to be late for work if you don't wake up soon!" Cassidy's mom shouted from the dining room or wherever she was shouting her lungs out.
Only, Cassidy doesn't have to wake up. She had stayed up all night talking to Owen and trying to find out where exactly his dream college is in New York.
She wasn't very successful, though. Sadly she only knew it was within walking distance to Time Square.
Plus, she hasn't bothered to google it. Even for her job description as a journalist - one that works pretty much only online - she doesn't like to use the internet or google for some reason unknown to her. It could be because of how often she is online for work.
However, she did mange to help Owen stay up all night for probably the second time ever. Both of the times were with her.
At least she has accomplished something in her life.
Actually, that isn't quite true anymore. With the help of Owen she had realized that there were a lot of things she had already accomplished and the things she is accomplishing right now. And not to forget what she will accomplish in the future.
Thinking about it now, Cassidy pretty much just noticed Owen has help with a lot of what he said he would.
Since he started talking to her, he has not only helped her realize how much she has actually accomplished, but a lot more. He has helped her find out who she is in the world. And helped her become the best person she is again.
All while letting Cassidy know she was never a bad person as the rumors said, she just had some rough edges and some poor choices.
Owen has helped her make friends - however, he just doesn't quite know that. Because of his help with finding a job for a career she loves, Cassidy has found Anna, her coworker that Cassidy still does not know how she survived without before in her live.
Another thing is how Cassidy is now working - or actually, interning would be the better word - at one of the biggest news splash magazine company in the state. Helping her reinforce what she wanted to go to college for
"Cassidy! I'm leaving, lets go!" Her mom shouted, giving her final noise.
Cassidy quickly changed into her work attire clothes and styled her hair in a way that it wouldn't be obvious that she hasn't showered in a day. As there was no time to do so. Also knowing there was no time to apply makeup to make her look like a human and not a zombie, she grabbed her makeup bag deciding to do it in the car.
Lately, Cassidy has been hitching a ride from her mom to go to work. The only change in her routine is waking up earlier and getting to work earlier. Meaning she can no longer get the beauty sleep she so loves.
