Mason pov
I watch as she recounts the story her eyes dead of emotions and her body weighted. She looked tired. "I should've ran when i had the chance" She says her voice placid and sad. I frown sorrow filling me for her having to go through that and anger raging inside of me for James. She lowers her hands in her head again breathing shakily. Kendra still stands in front of her obviously regretting asking. I wring my hands as i watch Ava's shoulders shake. My heart clenches as she lets out a muffled sob. "Why didn't you" Kendra ask her voice saddened at Ava's tale. "James to me was a savior a... knight in shining armor" Ava shakes her head, but continues "I loved him because i owed everything i had to him" I stiffen at her words. "I didn't think i had any right to complain because he hit me" Ava says her voice wavering sightly. "I need some air" Ava says tears striking across her face a cloud over her green eyes. A dark forest is all i saw when i looked into them. A broken girl. I stood off the couch and grabbed her arm nodding pulling her gently past Kendra. Everybody was silent as i walked Ava out into the backyard. I watched the rolling green grass as Ava stood beside me sniffling quietly. I take a peek at her as she wipes the tears rolling down her face. "Are you okay" I ask my voice quiet as the wind softly blows against me. "Yeah" She says her voice barley above a whisper. "You're one of the bravest girls i have ever met Ava" I say turning toward her as her eyes widen at my words. She looks over at me and i smile at her. Her cheeks strike with hits of a burning pink. She's blushing. I chuckle at her and she gives me a childish glare. I smirk at her turning my eyes back to the quiet night. "Thank you" She says as i peek at her a small grin slipping onto her face. "So how messed up is this week" I say chuckling. She let's out a sigh and a small breath of laughter. "Pretty messed up" She says letting out a quiet sigh. "Ava i have to know a few things" I say my words tight as i lean back against my heels. I look at her and she nods keeping her eyes trained on the distance. "What did James notes really say" I ask first numbering my questions in my head. "That he will get me back and that 'm his" She says as her hand subconsciously touches her chest. I frown in confusion, but shake it off. "Who's that Riker guy" I ask next keeping all emotion out of my question. "He is my best friend and the only person i ever trusted" She says her voice sad as a frown falls onto her lips. "I met Riker after i left James and i didn't trust anybody, but he never gave upon me" she says a sad smile gracing her face. "How long were you and James together" I ask watching her reaction. "Three years, but i thought everybody knew about James's girl" She says confusion rifling her voice. "Yeah, but people gossip nobody knows anything about you" I say watching as she seems genuinely surprised. "My name is Ava and i'm 18 years old, I fake i'm a nerd at school and my best friend's name is Riker" She says. "It's nice to meet you at Ava, My name is Mason i'm 19 and i am a bad boy, My best friend's name is Trevor" I say smiling. "You are a dork Mason" She says laughing as i glare at her. I smile creeps it's way onto my face as i step towards her. She stops laughing as i lips slightly graze each others her eyes trained on mine. "I know" I whisper at her my voice low. I feel her breath fan my face and lean in. I touch her lips lightly against mine as i slowly peck her lips. I lean back as she stares at me wonderment flashing in her eyes. "I forgot one thing I'm falling for the Fake nerd" I say pressing my lips to her's again.
