Crumble

    (Ailani pov)
     The night of homecoming everyone came to my house that was a girl. All the boy's were getting ready at Charlie's house. I thought I'd dressed the best. I wore a black pantsuit with a purple tie, purple bow in my wet and wavy hair, and black and purple vans. Jamie wore a blue and black dress with black heels. Myah, despite being pregnant looked very nice in her fuchsia dress.

Issa said she would meet us there. So we'd have to wait and see what she wore. We all looked at each laughing and grinning. Tonight was the night.

  ( Mellow pov)

      Can I just say as I looked in the mirror I thought I looked amazing. Pink and black looked good on me. As I looked through the mirror I seen Charlie fixing his blue tie. He was color coordinating with Jamie. Ben had on all white which was weird, because we all were suppose to have on a piece of black.

  " Ben, you sure you want to do that after what happen last year," I laughed.

  " Positive," he smiled.

   He didn't seem the same. He was quieter. He all walked outside to take pictures with our families.

  " Dad come on man. It's not even prom," I sighed.

  " Come on Mellow! This is you first time wanting to go to a dance. I need to treasure every moment."

      He snapped a lot of photos before we could leave. We all left after the two hundredth one. My dad rented us a limo, even though it wasn't that serious. Once we got in we split up. I went looking for Ailani, while the others mingle. I sat at the table she was sitting at writing on a clipboard.

  " Hey Ailani nice set up. I like the colors of black and white."

  " Thanks, I tried my best to get this place looking good."

  " So what's the plan?"

  " We wait for the call of king and queen."

  " That's it?"

  " Well... yeah.. for now let's just separate and mingle. I need you back there before they call though."

  " Okay. You can count on me."

     I looked up to see Noni coming in with a red dress. She waved at the people who said hey. Out of the corner of my eye seen Ailani clenching her fist. I grabbed her hand a pulled her to the dance floor.

  " Come you need to cool off," I try to distract her. She looks around me.

  " I'm fine I just really need to know her every move."

" We know the plan Ailani..... just be in the moment with me for a while." She stops trying to look around me. She looks me up and down.

  " Your lucky your like the bestfriend I've always had," she chuckled.

" I know."

   We started the night off on the right foot it was just time to get through the rest of it.

  ( Myah pov)

   I waited my Ms. Langston who sat in a chair watching every single student. She had eyes like a hawk. She would be the first get had to get to leave. I rubbed my stomach as though it hurt.

  " Umm.. Ms. Langston, my stomach really hurts. I heard they had some stuff in the nurses office," I moaned.

  " Alright. I know the nurse isn't here so I'd have to call her. she's kind of old so it'll take her a while to get here. Are you ok with waiting?"
