3 months later...

(Myah pov)

I looked at my stomach in the mirror laughing. I don't know why. I just looked huge. I was happy though. This would be my last month before I got to meet my beautiful baby. I didn't want to know what it was until it was here. My mom surprisingly was very supportive, because she won the lottery ticket from 5 months ago. She gave me a nice amount to get pampers and other things.

As I walked in the prison visit area and sat with my mother she looked at me.

" What," I smirk.

" I don't know baby... I'm just... really happy to see you happy."

" Thanks mom."

I stared at my shirt and realized something. It was the shirt that my mom had me in. She gave it to me, because she said it had 'special' value. She never told me what was special about it though.

Mellow strolled in laughing at some guy who winked at him from across the room. He sits with us.

" What was that all about," I question.

" Nothing... I got to hand it to jail. I never knew it would be less stressful than school."

" You mean you actually like it here," my mother says.

" A little. I don't have to worry about homework... or my next meal. It's all here! I live rent free."

" Mellow you were doing all of that already though," I snicker.

" No.. that's not what I mean. What I'm trying to say is.. if I have thirty years of my life to spend in here... I'm going to enjoy it while I can. The real world sucks."

" Umm.. mom can you give us a second," I face her.

" Sure honey, I'll be waiting outside."

She leaves us. I look back at Mellow.

" Where's Ailani Mellow?"

" What do you mean," he says. Like he doesn't know what I mean!

" I got a voicemail from her saying to meet her at Juna's burial site. It'll be the last time to see her if we don't come... then we just missed her."

" You wanna know that truth. It's because I don't trust Danny. I believe he's responsible for the death of Noni."

" I mean so what! Let him be to blame. Let her figure it out herself. You can't interfere with other people's lives."

" You may be right, but let's be honest. I've always been the protector."

" Don't I know it."

We sit in silence for a little bit.

" Well-" we say at the same time. We laugh at our perfect unison.

" You go first," I suggest.

" Ok I was going to say... I'm... I can't believe I'm going to be a father. It's crazy."

" Ha yeah. The more I think about it the more that night gets clearer in my mind. Can't believe we'd be the ones out of the group having wedlock babies," I laugh. He laughs which makes me laugh more.

" Well it's expected that I'd be another statistic in the system."

" Don't say that. We'll get you out together. You know... when we all come back."

" Where are you going?"

" My mom wants to move all the way to China. The lotteries really bugging her head."
