<Brontë's p.o.v.>
Niall walked close beside me the whole time and when we entered the house, he put his hand lightly on my lower back. I blushed.
"We're back!"
We entered the house but no one answered. We searched the house, dropping off the food as we passed the kitchen. We found Liam, Louis, and Harry gaming with music playing, which is probably why they only noticed us as we entered.
"Ah, you're back! Where's the food?"
"In the kitchen. Where are Zayn and Caroline?"
They shrugged. I got a tad worried.
"Caroline had to go to the bathroom. They haven't returned yet."
"Yeah, but that was like half an hour ago."
Caroline was with Zayn then? I almost didn't want to find her yet. Niall took my hand so I could follow as he quickly checked some rooms. I had to stop myself from grinning widely upon the contact. I saw a glimpse of some boys rooms but they were nowhere to be found. Niall frowned.
"Maybe here."
He let go of my hand as we climbed some stairs. As he opened the door upstairs, we were back outside. There they were, lounging in an outdoor couch with some blankets.
"We're back!"
Caroline mumbled 'that sure took them long enough' to Zayn, but I still caught it.
"I heard that!"
She laughed in response. They were folding the blankets and putting away the pillows in water-resistant boxes. I walked over to help. When everything was put away, Caroline and I lingered a bit, waiting for Zayn to walk away, both wanting to talk to each other. He caught onto what we were doing.
"What? Can't I hear it?"
I shook my head.
"It's girl talk."
Caroline nodded in agreement. He chuckled.
"Alright, but Caroline, you better hurry if you hope of getting any food from four teenage boys."
She had an amused yet panicky look on her face. Knowing her, she must have been incredibly hungry.
"We'll keep it short."
With an 'alright' from Zayn we were left alone. We waited a few more seconds before squealing and hugging each other.
"You were on a date with Niall?"
"It wasn't really a date! It was just dinner."
"That's a date, Brontë! Oh my god, you had your first date!! I need to know how it went in detail, but right now I would love to eat."
"Totally, but you need to tell me what you were doing here alone with Zayn."
"It was nothing. He was making sure I wasn't too bored."
How could she be bored with One Direction? She read my expression easily.
"They were gaming. At first it was fun, but I sucked at it and wanted to do something else. Long story short, Zayn took me here because I wanted to see a different part of the house.
"But what did you talk about?"
She was dragging me towards the door. She wanted to get closer to the kitchen, so I let her get me there.
"Day-to-day stuff. I'm learning to appreciate him more as a person instead of a celebrity."
I nodded in agreement. I completely understood what she meant, as that had happened to me too during dinner.
"What did you do with Niall though?"
She raised her eyebrows.
"We didn't kiss."
I whispered it, as we were almost entering the living room.
"Yet."
We tried to suppress our excited giggles, causing us to stop before we entered. We took a few deep breaths to calm ourselves down. I could feel myself being a tint of red. When we were good enough to go, we went to the guys. After a dinner where Niall and I got to say 'we were just having dinner' more than a few times, the guys asked us if we were up for seeing a bit of London by night. It was already late, but any minute spend with those guys was a minute of sleep I was willing to lose. This dream coming true wasn't going to last forever. They had a car on their driveway. We hopped in. Harry was going to drive. We didn't know where we were going or what we were going to do, but when Caroline asked, they told us that we'd see it when we got there. I figured it had been agreed when Caroline and I were taking our time, as they all knew what was going on.
"We're here!"
We got out of the car. I was happy I had a warm coat on, because it was cooling down. We were at the London Eye. There was a clear sign that said it was closed, but still the guys headed that direction. There was a guy at the controls. Harry went to talk to him and then signaled us to come. What the hell? Were they going to make the London eye spin after closing time for only seven people? How much money did they spent on that?
"But isn't it closed?", Caroline asked confused.
"Well, we were able to make some arrangements.", Louis said.
"Didn't that cost you guys a fortune?"
Niall answered soothingly.
"You don't need to worry about the costs. We'll take care of that part. You girls just enjoy."
Caroline frowned at me, I frowned back. We knew we would never be able to return something like that. A little guilty, I stepped inside the capsule. The guys were all excited. The London Eye set off at a slow pace. I had to admit, after a while the view was pretty amazing. It was dark so there were lights on all over town. They twinkled in the distance. Caroline was standing in front of the window, admiring the view. I saw Zayn walking towards her. I smiled.
"What are you smiling at?"
I turned and saw Niall looking at me, turning my smile into a grin.
"Them."
I nodded in their direction. He smiled too.
"They seem to get along."
"Yeah. I hope they get to be good friends."
"Maybe they will. Who knows?"
We saw them join up with the others. We all went back to our own chatter, until Harry screamed. Caroline slapped him on the arm. He looked at us and blamed Louis.
"It was Louis! Why did you scream, Louis? Don't do that, it's not nice! Let the lovebirds be, even if they have let us starve for hours on end."
Harry slapped Louis too. Caroline rolled her eyes at me. Everyone laughed. I felt slightly awkward though. Were we looking like lovebirds?
"We brought you food, didn't we?"
"That's what you were supposed to do."
"Ignore him, he's just not getting enough attention."
Niall said it loud enough for everyone to hear. The others chuckled. Harry wanted to retort but Louis started giving him the attention he apparently craved by teasing him and touching his chest, pretending he was a fangirl completely smitten with Harry Styles. Niall shook his head at them and continued his conversation with me.
"I'm glad we had that dinner tonight. Even though they'll never let it go that we hadn't brought them dinner first."
I smiled shyly.
"Me too."
He held my hand andkissed my knuckles. I couldn't think anymore. I grinned widely and felt myselfblush.exaͼ"ޤ
