Their movie night ended a bit earlier than planned, Yoongi having to go to work at the crack of dawn– which was how Tae made it sound, at least. In reality though, Yoongi didn't think that eight was the worst time to get up. Sure he'd love to sleep in longer, but he much preferred eight to his last job's six.
Yoongi worked as a simple office clerk at a music company for the time being until he would slowly start to make his way up– he hoped. His goal was to eventually work with the artists training there, whether it be with lyrics or music production. He wanted to make a name for himself in the music industry, that was for sure. However, that was just a far fetched dream of his. If anything, he would be lucky and honored to have any inclusion in any song making process. In all honesty, he was just there to be close to music. He didn't care if he never got to touch a recording studio, but he wanted to help and watch people grow as artists. He only graduated a couple months back though, landing the job because there just so happened to be an opening. He organized things for the other staff, files and schedules and whatnot. He wasn't allowed to meet the artists who had already debuted, but he was able to interact with the trainees– so hopefully they'd remember him when they did become full fledged idols. The problem was that he hadn't actually tried to talk with any of them.
He was feeling good that morning, getting up when his alarm went off– after the third time at least... He'd usually click snooze a dozen times before he actually decided to roll himself out of bed to prepare himself. His biggest worry for the day was in fact the subway, already forgetting which trains he had to take. But it'd be alright now since he had the app. Plugging in the address of his job, he remembered immediately where he had to go, Hoseok and Tae's directions flooding his thoughts.
He left his apartment with a small smile playing at his lips, scrunching up his nose when a certain memory replayed in his head.
"So you work with idols? Ah that's so cool hyung." Jimin exclaimed, pausing before eating another bite of his shaved ice.
"Not directly, it's nothing major. Paperwork." The older shrugged, not thinking much of it.
"Hm, but it must be nice, right? Having that job and all." He expressed, waving around the spoon in his hand, a smile still plastered on his face.
"Mhm, I guess. Do you work?" Yoongi questioned.
Jimin shook his head. "I've tried though."
"Being a student and having a job at the same time is hard, I don't blame you."
"Yeah."
Yoongi walked down the stairs to the subway, figuring that Jimin probably wouldn't be there this early due to his classes. He shouldn't get his hopes up of seeing him anytime soon anyways, the other times were simply out of pure luck and nothing more. Shoving his earbuds in, he stood in one of the corners of the train since, of course, there were no seats left with everyone trying to get to work.
He put his playlist on shuffle, wanting to shut his eyes, but afraid to miss his stop. So instead, he settled on people watching– which was something he normally did since he was a fan of keeping to himself. He always noticed how strangers could so easily connect without seeing each other before that day– and he realized he had forgone the same thing with Hoseok and Taehyung, he could even consider Jimin. Maybe it really wasn't such a difficult thing and he was just fooling himself his entire life. He decided that if the opportunity arose, he'd try and start a conversation with someone another day. It could be something as simple as a comment about how shitty the weather was or how he liked their hat or noticed what song they were listening to and wanted to discuss how much he loved the artist. Yoongi wanted to be more social, he really did.
He transferred to the next train (which was the one he met Jimin on) he had to take for the next couple of stops before the last one in which brought him to his final destination. He sighed heavily when he stepped off the train, breathing out a sigh of relief when his eyes met the familiar surroundings when he came up from the subway. His job was just outside the city, a place that was quiet compared to other areas.
He finally had signal on his phone and got a notification. He checked it, seeing a text from his new friends.
Taehyung: have a good day at work, hyung! I'm sure Hobi would say the same if he were awake.
Yoongi scoffed, quickly typing his response.
Yoongi: thanks kid, why're you up "at the crack of dawn"
He locked his phone, starting the short walk to the building, while humming along to the current song playing. His phone went off again, and he checked his lock screen to see the notification.
Taehyung: I had to pee
Rolling his eyes, he didn't think he had to respond. Walking inside the building, he quickly greeted a couple of his coworkers before taking his usual seat at his desk in one of the offices, checking what he'd have to do for that day.
"Looks like scheduling, scheduling, and more scheduling." He sighed, already preparing to email concert venues and managers.

Jimin gathered his savings for the month, stopping by a random store to possibly get better change and make his bills bigger so that it wouldn't be as difficult to deal with. Once that was done, he stuffed the money into the typical envelope.
The raven haired boy handed the envelope to the usual lady with the welcoming smile behind the counter at the post office. After the normal small talk the two routinely had, Jimin declared it was time for him to leave and stated he'd be back the next month as always. With a small grin, he left, making his way to the subway to start collecting once again. He had just barely made enough this month, so he decided he needed to work a bit harder which meant absolutely no distractions.
He entered the subway, lifting his hat and running a hand through his hair before rushing onto a train he didn't really go on much. He figured that he'd try out something new though, since the norm wasn't working out as well as it usually did. He wasn't one to be nervous, but he couldn't help the bubbling feeling inside him when he didn't recognize not one single face on the train.
Sucking in a deep breath, he shrugged. Looking forward to meeting you guys.
He cleared his throat, holding out his hat and did what he did best: captivate people's minds.
