Yoongi ended his day at the front desk, making sure people checked in and out of the building until seven. Gathering his stuff, he said goodbye to his coworkers, nodding his head at a couple trainees on their way to the dance studio. It was starting to get dark out, but he tried not to get worried about the whole train situation. He had to reassure himself, he had the app, he'd be fine.
And he was fine. He made it home safely within an hour, immediately greeted by his nosy neighbors who were awaiting his arrival.
"Don't you guys work or something?" Yoongi questioned, realizing he had never asked them about their jobs before. Unlocking the door to his apartment, he let them inside.
"I work at a karaoke bar near the city." Tae answered as the three made their way to the living room. "I work a night shift though, and actually I have to leave in about thirty minutes or so."
"So you're a waiter there or–?" Yoongi asked, plopping down on the couch.
Tae nodded. "Believe it or not, they leave really good tips."
"He gets good tips because he steals the attention from all the girls." Hoseok scoffed. "They gush over him, I feel bad for their poor, poor dates." He held a hand to his chest, wiping away fake tears.
"That is not in my control." He giggled, smiling his boxy smile and punching Hoseok's arm lightly.
"Stop being attractive, it isn't fair for the rest of us." Hoseok exasperated.
"You don't even like girls."
"I'm speaking on behalf of all men."
"Not all men like girls."
"Anyways," Hoseok diverted. "We should take Yoongi hyung there sometime."
Yoongi's eyes went wide. Sure he loved music and composing and all, but when it came down to singing, he wasn't too confident. "I can't sing for shit–"
"That's the whole point of karaoke." Hoseok assured him.
"It'll be fun." Tae added on.
"Maybe." Yoongi shrugged. He'd think about it, and knowing these two, they'd probably get him to go despite his arguments. "How about you Hoseok?"
"I mean, I wouldn't necessarily say that I can't sing for shit-"
He laughed. "No, your job."
"Oh." Hoseok paused. "Well, I'm in between jobs right now. I recently quit my job as a waiter at some wannabe high class restaurant called Meilin. The people there are such asses. The pay was good but I don't accept disrespect." He shook his head.
"I guess I won't be going there anytime soon then."
"The food is shit, don't even bother."
"I didn't think it was that bad..." Tae trailed off.
"Well it's definitely better than your cooking, that's for sure." Hoseok teased.
"I am offended."
"That was rude." Yoongi pointed out. "Even if it is true."
