Opening one eye, I brought my phone over to my face and saw that a new message notification appeared on screen. I tossed over on my left side instead and went inside the new conversation with an unknown number.
Unknown#: Hey Unknown#: wanna go to dd n eat? Unknown#: its on me
Me: who is this?😕
Unknown#: Ken. ...what the f*ck😰
Me: how the hell u get my #?😰
Unknown#: ur sister. I saw em the other day. I ain't kno they went here too

Unknown#: let's go eat tho, I'll treat u. I jus wanna be friends since you obviously moved on to women.

Sitting down at a small table in Dunkin Doughnuts, I noticed that Ken just couldn't keep his eyes to himself. What he needed to do was worry about that breakfast sandwich he's eating instead of me.

"Can I just ask why are you staring at me?" I look up from my Big N Toasted.
"Just enjoying the view" he cracked a smile.
"What view are we talking about?"
"The view of my ex..."

"You're still cute as hell, Gabe" he laughed.
"Mhm" I repeated myself, now picking up my phone to check what's new.
"Damn. So you're just going to ignore me now and be on your phone" he said, sounding offended.
I sighed dramatically and put down my phone, giving him my full attention once again. I mean--he did treat me to breakfast.
I watched him look away pissed. "You know what, I'll just see you when I do okay" he got up and grabbed his book bag from the chair.
"Awww. Is someone upset?" I talked to him in a baby voice.
