"Good morning, you two" I say, seeing Kai and Thomas return from the bathroom.
"Morning" she yawned, and took a seat back on the bed with Tom on her shoulder.
He smiled at me.

"Hey, little man. Good morning to you too" I mess up his hair softly.
"I talked to your mom last night.." she says.
"My mother? Symone?"
"Mhm.."
"What did she say?"
"Well, she called your phone to tell you goodnight but I picked up instead. I introduced myself and we had a little chat about you..., even as a baby. But then I told her I was Brandi's niece and how I felt...scared to tell the rest of our family. But she encouraged me to and gave us her blessing. Your mother is really amazing"
I smiled. "Yeah, she really is. So, your ready with telling them the news?"
"Yeah, if that's okay with you. I feel more confident now and your mother helped me see it in a different way. Love is love right.." she looked over at me, placing her hand on top of mine.
"Love is love..." I agree with her, holding her hand with mine on the bed.
We both leaned in and kissed before Tom started to join in himself. Pulling my face while slobbering on to his mother's chest.
"My son is suck a C. O. C. K. Block" she says with a straight face, letting Tom's hands pull at her lips.
I laugh at the two and take Tom into my own hands to play with him. It was really starting to feel like our own personal family now.

We arranged a family dinner this evening with only half our family, since my brother and sister couldn't make the trip. So I planned to just tell them by phone and hopefully gain their blessings as well.
But for tonight, It was me, my son, Jace and his mother, and Brandi and Desean. Surely to be an interesting time. I asked Symone to come as my support, since she really gave me the balls to finally tell Brandi and Desean anyways. I just hope it goes well.
"So...how's it been you two?" Symone asked Brandi and Desean across the table.
"Good, how about you?" Brandi answered, eating her spaghetti.
"Good. Just checking on my favorite couple is all..."
