I couldn't help but to notice the white blanket of snow outside my window. I swear the world is ending, it never snowed this much in Florida. Ever.

>Door Opens<💢🚪

Looking towards my front door, I see Curtis come in from the snow surprisingly and begin to take off his tims. This calmed my nerves because when I woke up just a few minutes ago, he was no where to be found inside the house. So I just assumed he was shoveling my car out for me.

"Hey, where were you?" I ask him.

"Work" ....what😐

"Really? Its like 3 feet of snow out there and you had to work?" I jump down.

"Yep. Joanna called me this morning and told me to come in. So I had to suck it up and just go..." he shrugs, taking off his shirt.

"You could've called out though, it's Christmas. Who goes to the car shop on Christmas and when it's 3 feet of snow outside?"

"People who need they cars fixed, Angel. And I can't slack and say no to money..." he takes a seat slowly on the couch. "Ah-sss..." he groans in pain, bending down to his leg.

"What's wrong?" I ask immediately and rush over to him.

"I fell--on some ice this morning getting off the bus. I landed on my bad leg too"

"Shit. Do you think you broke it even more? This is why should've called out, your not even completely healthy yet. You could've damaged it even further" I snap.

"Angel....please. Your acting like your my mom again and I'm not a child. I'm a grown-ass man and I need to keep this job so I can get my life back on track. At least I'm fucking trying! But the world always wants to rain on my fucking parade" he throws his keys at the wall angrily.

Watching him lean his head down and pull at his hair, I start to feel bad. He was really trying but things weren't going so good. First, he couldn't find a job for the longest and then he got laid off one week after getting this other job. And now this. Life's being quite a b*tch to him...

"I'm sorry for nagging at you...I just--"

"You care too much about me, even still. Why do you still care Angel? I don't deserve it. Haven't I hurt you in the past..." he looked up.

"Curtis we've talked about this! Why the fuck you keep bringing it up! If I felt some type of way, I wouldn't give a fuck about how your day went. So stop it" I scold him.
