CHAPTER 10
I’m so confused with this relationship but am glad I’m not pregnant. I do have to say I’m still not feeling good but it’s probably just a bug. I woke up early and ran to the bathroom, looking at the clock I have in the bathroom I saw that I woke up an hour earlier then I would for school.
After puking my dinner from last night up I started getting ready for school, and going over my song and monologue for theater auditions after school and the new dance for the cheer team. By the time I had my shoes on and I grabbed by purse and backpack I heard little pitter-pader of feet and Adam came crashing into my room screaming, “LAYLA!!!!!!!!!!! CAN WOU MAKE ME BREAKFAST?”
“Hold on little man, what’s with the screaming? And of course I’ll make you breakfast.” I said trying to hold back a laugh.
I held his hand when we walked downstairs and I see James already getting breakfast ready for himself. “Hey hansom, whatcha making?”
He turned around smiled and planted a kiss on my lips saying, “Coco puffs.”
“Oh sexy a 17 year old eating coco puffs.” I laughed at him
“Oh you know it babe.”
“Adam what would you like?” I asked bending down to his level.
“Pancakes,” He said with a smile on his face and excitement showing in his eyes.
I started cooking and I could just feel James’ eyes on me. After we all sat down and ate. By the time we finished Lily was running down the stairs looking like she just saw a ghost. Then she looked over at me and asked, “Did you feed Adam?”
“Yes Mrs. And- I mean Lily”
“Thank you. Adam can you go and get your backpack were running late today, and so are you kids. You should get going.” She said looking concerned that we might be late.
“Were just leave-“I stared to say but can feel breakfast coming up.
“Layla sweetie are you okay. You have been throwing up a lot lately.” Lily said looking concerned.
“Yeah probably just a bug.” I said not wanting to be a burden.
“I don’t think so, I’ll call the doctor and see if I can make you an appointment, just try and get through the day.”
______________
On the way to school you could see the worry lines on James’ forehead. “Please don’t worry its prob just a bug. I’ll be fine.”
“I hope so. I’ll go to the doctors with you.” He said
“No you have school and football after. I’ll be fine.” I said leaning over to give him a kiss.
The first day the schools going to see us as a couple and I already know I’m going to get some nasty glares from the girls. Not just going out with the school playboy but also his fiancé. Before he got out of the car he leaned over and said, “See you later, my beautiful fiancé.” Kissed me and then walked over to the guys, leaving me sitting there for a couple of minutes flabbergasted.
I stepped out of the car and heard Aria yell, “Thanks for the heads-up on knowing you two were going out.” She said glaring at me but I knew it was a joke.
“Sorry Aria, I haven’t really been feeling good.”
“Sweetie are you sure your ok then.” She asked
“Yeah can everyone just stop worrying about me?” I started getting aggravated.
“We love you sweetie that’s all.” Aria said trying to calm me down.
We walked to our lockers and went to first period, English. Mrs. Lanton said, “Today class we are going to start a project, is going to be what you want to write about. Any genre is aloud but there are some ground rules. For example not foul language or inappropriate scenes.” Some people mostly the guys all groaned. “I’ll let you start on it for this class period but at the end of class I’ll pass out our rubrics.”
I took out paper and a black pen and started writing, and I know what about. Starting with middle school and how miserable it was then to my parents divorcé, to the arrange marriage to… well that’s all I have so far. By the end of class I have already written two pages.
*Lunch*
Today I sat with Aria and a couple of my girl friends. They all asked me questions about going out with James. Half way through lunch my phone started ringing, it was Lily. “Hey Lily what’s up?” I asked her
“I just wanted to let you know that I got a doctor’s appointment for you tomorrow.”
I got up from the table after telling the girls I’ll be right back. “It’s okay I’m feeling better.”
“Okay well just to make sure. I’ll pick you up during school at 3:30. I don’t want James taking you because he can use as much school as possible.” She said clearly joking.
“Thank you Lily. I better go lunch is almost over.” I said
“Okay sweetie. I’ll see you and James after school.” After saying bye and hung up the end of lunch bell went off and everyone started getting to class. The rest of the day went by in a breeze. After school me and James just hung out at home and watched a movie then we tried cooking dinner for the family but ended up cleaning the kitchen after our food fight we ordered pizza and we all ate that instead. The night was a good night that I went to sleep next to James with a smile on my face.
