Chapter 19
“So even though you’re pregnant, and with my baby the arranged marriage is still going to happen? Aren’t those like illegal from America?” Justin asked with a little hope seeping through his voice. I don’t really understand why Justin cares so much about this but I guess he just wants to know what his kid is going though.
“My parents are thinking about it, but there not sure. They think its wrong that were getting married with Layla being pregnant with your child but they understand the situation and they love her. Plus they see how much we love each other. So there reconsidering it.” James explained what was going on.
“Oh…” That’s all he can say is ‘oh’ we just dropped this big thing on him; his best friend and his baby mama. And all he can say is ‘oh” you got to be kidding me.
“Oh? Is that all you can say? We just dropped this big news on you and you can only say ‘oh’? Can’t you say something else?” I started getting angry on the verge of yelling.
“What do you want me to say? The girl I learned to love is getting married to my best friend! Oh let’s not forget she’s carrying my baby!!” Justin’s face mirrored James and mine with shock plastered on it.
“Did you just say you love Layla?” James asked.
“Ya I did and I do love her. I’ve liked her since I first met her.”
“She’s my fiancé and I love her!!”
“You couldn’t stand her when she first moved here. Why the sudden change? Don’t you think she deserves someone who really loves her?!” Justin yelled
“I do really love her!! You can’t tell me how I feel about h-“
“Guys I’m standing right here!! I’m not invisible!!!” I yelled. But it didn’t do much good; they still yelled back and forth about me and I couldn’t stand it. “HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” they finally stopped and looked at me.
“What?!” they yelled.
“I’m a human being not a toy; so stop treating me like one! I can pick who I like weather its Justin or James.”
Both boys stopped to stare at me then turned to glare at each other.
“If me being here is going to ruin your friendship then I won’t date either of you till you guys work it out. I don’t want to be the one that makes you guys lose your friendship. You were best friends before I got here.” I stated
“Ya but were engaged but law, were going to get married anyways.” James said
“Ya but your mom is trying to get out of it because of the pregnancy.”
“You really don’t want to be with me?” James asked with worry and sadness showing in his eyes.
“Not if it breaks up your friendship with Justin.” With that said I walked away but turned around real fast “Oh and James I’ll be staying at Amy’s house tonight.
