James P.O.V.

I don't snore. do I? Why is this all I care about? I can tell she doesn't want to be here. I wonder what she's going to think when she finds out we have to share a room in two weeks. I take it she won’t take it good like me. Of course my parents couldn't have picked a cheerleader or at least someone who isn't emo looking. She's always wearing black hoodies and sweets. I wonder what people are going to think if they see me with her. O god that's going to ruin my reputation. Especially if they find out were engaged. The number one player in the school can't be tied down at 17. I'm the captain of the football team, going to parties and getting girl after girl. The freaks going to ruin my-" My thought got interrupted my phone.

"Hey, dude how was Texas boring? I knew it" My best friend Justin said.

"You can read minds can't you?"

"Nope, I just know my best friend. So party tonight you coming?"

"Sorry dude can't. Parents won’t let me"  I explained

"Well that sucks eggs" he's been saying that since 5th grade.

"Still with the sucks eggs. Dude that’s so fifth grade" I said

"I know but it still cracks me up." he stated

"You are so-" I started but got interrupted when Layla asked

"Can you take me around the city tomorrow?" she asked

            "Who was that?" Justin asked

I held my finger up to Layla and told Justin "No one. Hold on a sec."

"Do you have a girl over?" He asked but I didn't answer him instead I answered Layla

"I know we can go shopping to get you some clothes for a party tonight maybe you can meet some people before school starts." I asked. She looked like she had to think threw it, and was kind of scared. She didn't look like the type to be scared to meet new people.

"Umm that’s ok. I guess I'll stay in; I don't really like to shop." she said

"So we'll go to the party anyways. Just act like you don't know me okay." then I waved her off. So much for trying to get her to dress normally. There is something really weird about her.

Layla's P.O.V.

Great, now I'm stuck going to a party that I won’t know anyone at and James won’t even be around. Of course that’s why I didn't what to go but of course Mr. everything-had-to-be-my-way is making me go. Huhhh. I unpacked which felt like it took a whole day. I don't even know why I packed so much.

When I was done I picked out a short denim skirt and a apted fitting pink t-shirt. I got all my stuff for a shower and got ready. When I was done I put my make-up on and curled my hair. Doing it how I normally would because I'm not out to impress of have anyone to impress. After all no one knows me.

Right when I was done James knocked on my door. "Layla hurry up. I'm tired of waiting. Come out on the count of five 1...2...3...4...-"

"I'm done. Gosh don't get your boxers in a twist. What? Is something wrong?" Why is he just standing there? I looked myself over and looked fine to me. I looked back up to him and fond him looking at my legs. Pervert. "My eyes are up here. Stop staring and wipe the drool off your mouth."

He blinked a few times then closed his mouth whipping the imaginary drool off his face. "He's so stupid" I thought. "Oh and I remember. I don't know who you are. Won’t forget; well come on don't just stand there." and off we were to a party I knew no one at.
