It was late when Usopp woke up, having had strange dream about some silly thing. He looked around the room to find everyone still sound asleep. He smiled and got out of bed, taking with him a blanket and tinted yellow envelope with the name reading Kaya written elegantly across the front. When he opened the door to the deck, a cold wind blew into the room.
"Jeez, it's cold tonight," he mumbled to himself. He wrapped the blanket around his shoulders and stepped outside, closing the door behind him. "Now where to sit." He looked around and found his usual spot where he liked to sit and read or work on one of his inventions. "Hehe, I wonder what's going on with Kaya?"He opened the letter and found one page with beautiful writing on it. He smiled as he began to read aloud.
"Dear Usopp-kun,
How are you doing? I haven't heard anything about you or the crew since the War of the Best. But I know that you and everyone else are okay, but I can't help but worry about you. I can't wait to hear more of your stories when you get back. Both the true ones and lies."
Usopp laughed a little at that last sentence. He continued reading.
"I miss you, Usopp-kun. I want to hear all about your adventures that you've had with your friends. I want to laugh and smile with you telling me your stories. I want to show you how well I am now and share the knowledge I have gain from my studies. I want to see you again, the lair of the village and the savior of my life."
Usopp stopped reading again and thought back to when the Cat Pirates tried to take over his village and kill Kaya. He shook that thought out of his head and looked back at the letter.
"Usopp-kun, please come back soon. I want to see you again. I have something that I want to tell you, but it's doesn't feel right writing it in a letter. So I'll be waiting for you to come to Syrup Village and I'll tell you in person. So please come back soon.
Sincerely,
Kaya."
Ussop smiled as he folded the letter and put it back in the envelope. "I'll back as soon as I can, Kaya. So please wait a little bit longer."
