Author's Notes: Hey, part two of Je T'Adore will come shortly. For now enjoy this Kid oneshot. Enjoy!

I walked down the street, kicking stones as I went by. My thoughts were on the day's events, or lack thereof. Nothing really happens here on this small island. The most we'll get is a bar fight and even those simmer down after a few minutes. I sighed and stopped walking, looking up the sky. I took a deep breath and let out cry of frustration. I know for a fact people are stopping and watching me, but I didn't care.

"Well, that was something," a voice said, stopping my scream. I looked at him and sighed. The who had interrupted me was none other than the notorious Eutass Kid, leaning against a wall with smug smirk plastered across his. "Yo, girly."

I scoffed and began walking away. I don't have time to deal with someone like him, not now at least. I heard footsteps from behind me and I got real annoyed. I stopped walking and turned my attention to the man with wild red hair. "Can I help you with something, sir?" I asked sweetly with a smiled on my face.

He looked at me and that same smirk from before appeared. "Join my crew," he responded. My smile faded as I looked at him.

"No," I said and began walking away only to held in my place by Kid. "Must I spell it out? I don't want to join a crew led by murderous psychopath and his followers." I pried his hand off my arm and took a few steps away from him. "Why would you want someone like me on your crew?"

Kid looked at me and his smirk grew just a tiny bit bigger. "I like your spirit," he answered. I crossed my arms and looked at him. "Don't believe me?"

"No, I believe you," I answered. "You're not exactly someone who beats around the bush, Kid." I sighed and looked at him. "My answer is still no, whether you were asking or not. Now if you'll excuse me." I turned away from him and continued walking down the street, kicking rocks as I went.

The next day, I couldn't really focus too well. My mind kept going to Kid and his silly demand for me to join his crew. The idea of living an adventure sounds amazing, but the idea of being with Kid for the rest my life didn't at all appeal to me.

"Oi, woman!" shouted a loud voice. I looked up from the counter to see a group of men approach the bar. All of them were armed to the teeth and none of them looked to be reasonable. I sighed and put on the smile that was required for the friendly atmosphere.

"What can I help you with, sirs?" I asked in high and sweet voice.

"Heh, give us everything you have," one of the men said. The others grunted in agreement with him and I sighed yet again.

"I'm sorry, but I can't give you everything," I responded. Their expressions instantly went dark as they shot their guns at the shelf behind me, shattering bottles and glasses, and started swiping at the counter top, scaring the wood. Anyone inside the building started screaming and running out while I stayed in place while the chaos continued. I sighed and looked around me. "You know," I started, causing all the men to stop and look at me, "you guys kind of destroyed everything we have, so we have nothing to give you anymore." I looked back at them and took in their dumbstruck faces. I smiled and bowed my head. "Thank you for stopping by. Please come aga..." My sentence was stopped short when one of the men slammed my head into the counter and I fell to the ground, blood falling down my face.

I looked up to see one of the men smiling sickly smile as another jumped over, chains rattling as he did so. "I think there's something we can take," he said. I felt cold metal against my skin as the lock clicked in place. I was brought up roughly and the men began laughing and saying crude things to me. "Heh, let's go men!"

"And where do you think you're going with one of my crew," voice spoke out. Everyone including me turned towards the entrance, a silhouette blocking the opening. I sighed and smiled.

"What are you doing here, Kid?" I asked. Everyone around me gawked at the redhead as he stepped into the bar.

He smiled. "It's a captain's duty to help his subordinates."

"Mmm, but I'm not your or anyone's subordinate."

"Shut up!" the man in front of me yelled, pointing a gun at Kid. Kid and I looked at him, annoyance apparent on our faces.

"You really don't want to do that," I said. The man looked at me, his facial expression full of rage. The man behind me brought a blade to my throat and I sighed. I looked over to Kid. "Mind taking care of these guys?"

A smile grew across his blood red lips as he raised his hand above his head. "Thought you'd never ask."

A few minutes later, Kid and I were walking the street. I rubbed my wrists to relieve some of the soreness from the chains and Kid scoffed. I looked at him. "What is it?" I asked.

He looked at me and shook his head. "After everything that happened, you still carry on like it was a normal day. Most people would freaking out after that, but here you are."

I looked down at the ground and smiled. "I guess it's that spirit that you like so much."

"Speaking of which." Kid stopped and I stopped next to him. "Join my crew."

I sighed and looked at him. "You're not going to stop until I comply, are you?"

"Either that or I take you by force," he smirked. I smiled and looked up at the sky. I looked back at him and sighed.

"Alright then," I said. "Lead the way, Captain." Kid's smirk twice in size as he started walking only to stop when we were a few feet away from where we were moments ago. "Something wrong?"

"Name," he responded, turning towards me. I smiled and bowed my head.

"(Y/N). How can I help you?"
