Author's Notes: Hello everyone. This one wasn't requested but I wanted to write this one. Also thank you for the 100+ reads. The song is Nickel back's Lullaby. Requests are open and enjoy the story.
Reader's POV:
I was walking along the deck of the Sunny, my mind thinking about recent events that had happened. The memories of the blood staining the wood of the deck and tortured screams of those being slaughtered. I stopped in place and let out a shaky breath.
"Something wrong, (Y/N)-chan?" a voice asked. It was soft and some what cheerful, but held a worried tone. I turned around to find Nico Robin. Her long black was pulled back into a low ponytail. Her blue eyes contradicted the smile on her face. I smiled and shook my head.
"Nope, everything is fine," I lied and began walking away, leaving her alone. "Tonight, I'll leave everyone before they come here," I thought to myself. "Tonight I say goodbye."
Robin's POV:
I watched as (Y/N)-chan walked away. Something felt off about her. When we found her, she was badly beaten and losing blood quickly. The entire time she was apologizing and always had a sad look in her (e/c) eyes. And now, I could tell something was off.
"(Y/N)-chan, what are you hiding?" I whispered.
Reader's POV:
I sat in the Crow's Nest, watching the sun disappear beneath the waves. The light from the sun dyed the sky and sea orange and red, darkening the blue around it. The window was opened and the breeze felt amazing. I smiled as I gazed out at the ocean, listening to the Straw Hats yell, dance, sing, or play. "I'll miss them," I muttered.
"Miss who?" a voice asked. I turned around and found Robin at the door, her face twisted with worry.
"N-nobody," I stuttered. She frowned as she walked closer to me. I got to leave, but pale hands kept me in place. "Robin, let me go," I said.
"No," she answered. She stopped in front of me and I could feel sweat fall down my face. "No until you tell me the truth." She sat down next to me and I looked away.
"Robin, let me go," I said, my tone dark.
"Not until I know what's wrong," she said. I gritted my teeth as I tried to get up. No luck, she had a tight grip around me. "(Y/N)-chan, tell me what's wrong."
My hands curled into fists as I fought back tears that threatened to spill. I took a deep and shaky breath before I opened my mouth. "Pirates came aboard the ship I was traveling on. They wanted all the treasure we had on-board, but the only thing was the ship was a refugee ship."
"Refugee ship?"Robin asked. I nodded my head, still refusing to look at her. "Why were you on a refugee ship?"
My head sunk lower before I answered. "The Navy authorized a Buster Call and wiped out the island. All because a Celestial Dragon didn't like how the town looked." I could feel anger rise in voice, but I tried to suppress it. "Anyways, the pirates were annoyed by the fact that there was no treasure on-board and decided to have 'fun' with us."
"Fun?" I could feel Robin's worry as I nodded.
"I've never seen such twisted and evil acts before. It was just as bad as the Buster Call, maybe worse."
"(Y/N)- chan, what did they do?!" Robin yelled. I flinched at the volume of her voice but answered her anyways.
Robin's POV:
My eyes widen as I listened to (Y/N)-chan's story. My heart felt heavy when she fell silent. How could someone do that? How is she not falling apart after watching first her home and then her family been erased from existence?
"Robin, you said you'd let go of me if I told you the truth," she said. Her voice was soft and quiet and she didn't look at me. I sat there and stared at her, wanting her to look at me. "Robin!" She turned her head to me and I nearly started crying. "Let me go!" I could see her eyes were red from the tears she refused to let fall.
I lunged forward and wrapped my arms around her. "No," I answered. I could feel her trying to escape, but I wouldn't let her go. "(Y/N)-chan, I'm here for you. I'm here for you." She stopped moving and I pulled back to see her face. She was stunned and the tears were staring to fall. "I'm here for you, (Y/N)-chan, we all are. So don't don't go, okay?" I gave her a closed eyed smile as tears fell down my cheeks. I felt her wrap her arms around me and I did the same. I could hear her quiet sobs as her tears hit my shoulder. I smiled as I looked out the window as I made a promise to myself: I let her feel this way ever again.
Author's note: How was it? Should I make a part two? Tell me what you think in the comments. Bye!
