I Won't Let You Fall (Luffy X Reader)

"(Y/N)!" Luffy called for her, running around the Thousand Sunny. "(Y/N)! Jeez, where is she?" He continued looking for her, the playful grin on his face fading with each moment his call went unanswered. 

(Y/N) peeked through the window and sighed. "That idiot," she whispered, her breath frosting the glass. She continued to stare at the rubber man running around the ship, calling her name and looking for her. "I wonder when he'll realize." A smile crept on her lips as he ran the opposite from her.

"Realize what?" a voice asked. (Y/N)'s (e/c) eyes grew wide as she stared at the green-haired man. Zoro stood there, a small smile on his face as the girl relaxed a little. "Didn't you were so easily scared."

"Didn't know you were a ninja," she retorted, a smile appearing on her lips as the swordsman let out a laugh and sat down next to her. She turned towards the window again when she heard her name called out again by Luffy. 

Zoro looked out too and sighed. "That idiot. When is he going to realize where you are?"

(Y/N) laughed and sighed. "I don't know. But I don't think he'll keep this up for much longer."

Zoro tossed a glance towards the (h/c) woman beside him. "I don't think he will, (Y/N)." (Y/N) turned towards him, her delicate face was twisted with confusion. 

"What do you mean by that?" she asked, her voice sounding genuine to her facial expression.

Zoro sighed and gave her a smile. "Now I'm wondering who the real idiot is," he replied, placing a hand on her head and receiving a pout from the girl in front of him. "Come on, we're almost at Sabaody." 

Timeskip to Docking At Sabaody:

The Sunny docked at Sabadoy's Grove 41. Everywhere you looked there would be bubbles coming from the ground and floating above the tops of the trees. It was amazing to see and felt sot of romantic. (Y/N) couldn't help but stare at the bubbles as they disappeared, a small smile appearing on her lips. Luffy glanced over at her and instantly felt his face heat up. He quickly looked away from her.

"Alright, I'll take you to see Rayleigh," Hachi said as he jumped off the ship, Cami on his back. 

"Yosh, let's go!" Luffy shouted, receiving a loud yeah from his crew.

Time Skip To Sabaody Amazement Park:

Luffy and (Y/N) stood in front the park entrance, their faces holding extreme delight upon their discovery. Luffy and (Y/N) looked over at each other and gave wide smiles before bolting into the park. Luffy first went to the food stands and bought all he could , while (Y/N) looked at the rides the place had to offer. Her eyes caught the Ferris Wheel and she shuddered. She hated heights, always has since she was little.

"Oi, (Y/N)," Luffy chirped. (Y/N) looked over to see a big smile on his face. "Let's go on that." He pointed to the Ferris Wheel and (Y/N) froze. "Come on, one ride."(Y/N) started breathing a little bit harder before nodding her head. One ride won't hurt.

They got inside the small cart and each took a seat opposite each other. (Y/N) stared at the floor as they began rising. Luffy was leaning against the glass, his breath fogging up the glass.

"(Y/N), look. You can see the whole park from here," Luffy said, turning towards her a wide grin on his face. The (h/c) haired girl didn't say anything, just stared at the floor. "Oi, (Y/N), is everything alright?" She just shook her head. "Then tell me what's wrong." She looked up at her captain, her face streaked with tears.

"I... I'm afraid of he... heights," she managed to utter before looking away from him. Luffy just stared at her. "When I was little, I fell from a really high place and nearly... died. Sin... since then, I... I've be... been a... avoiding heights as mu... much as pos... possible." Her sentences her fragmented and short. The same could be said for her breath as more tears streamed down her face. Without even having a second to think, Luffy wrapped his arms around (Y/N)'s body, making the girl freeze in place. Eventually she wrapped her arms around his waist, her breathing evening out.

"I won't let you fall, (Y/N)," he said after a long period of silence. He pushed her away from him before cupping her cheek, wiping the tears that with his thumb. (Y/N) looked at him, her (e/c) eyes shined a little brighter, and gave him a small smile. He smiled back and, again without thinking, kissed her. Her eyes widen in surprise but eventually closed as she melted into the kiss. Luffy and (Y/N) pulled away. Luffy opened his mouth again. "I won't let you fall because I love you."

(Y/N) smiled and stared into his eyes. She leaned in closer and placed a small kiss on his cheek, making the boy's face turn red. She laughed at his reaction before whispering into his ear: "I'll hold you that so long as you love me, Luffy." She stopped before continuing. "Because I love you, too."
