So if your new to this, Y/N means "Your Name"
Jughead
I lifted my head up from my computer as I heard the sound of the entrance door of Pop's open. It was Y/N and her best girl friend, Veronica. Her eyes roamed around the diner until we made eye contact, she smile and then tapped Veronica's shoulder and pointed at my direction. They began making their way to me.
"Hey Jug" she greeted as they took a seat next to me while Veronica took a seat in front of us and winked. Let's just say that her and rest of the whole wide world knows about my feelings for Y/N, except Y/N, herself of course.
As cliche as it may seem, she's my best friend and I was hers. We met during the rough time I was having when I lost my only friend, Archie. Archie, during summer, started to act weird and started ignoring me. Soon enough, we didn't talk anymore and I lost the only person I can lean on.
Basically, Y/N and I had homeroom together along with our 1st, 4th and 5th period. She, being the idiot she was, she didn't bring any writing materials— like at all. On. The. First. Day. Of. School. We were seated next to each other and she asked for a pen I remember rolling my eyes and asked why she didn't have a pen out of all the days of school but gave it to her anyways. After that, somehow, we started to be best friends.
But up to this day, she still hasn't returned my pen.
"Hi" I greeted back. "So what are you writing?" she asked, leaning closer to read the word on my laptop screen. I immediately shut it loudly, making her jump.
"Why can't I read any of your works, but Betty can?" She whined.
"Because she's my editor, and plus this is different, this isn't my novel about Jason. No one has or can read it." I explained as I begin to place my laptop in my bag.
"But I can be your editor" she said
I immediately scoffed right when those words left her mouth. "You can barely even write a sentence without it having any spelling or grammatical mistakes."
"But that's why I got you, right Best Friend?" Best Friend. Only the Best Friend.
I nodded sadly and broke eye contact. Veronica then looked at me and smiled sadly. I returned her that smile too.
It broke my heart every time it hits me that I was just her best friend to her, while she was the light that filled up the darkness of my life. It broke my heart to realize that she'll never like the creepy weird guy that does nothing but write crappy novels. That writes novels about her.
"Let's order, yeah?" Veronica asked before Y/N— who gave me a questioning gaze, asks about my sudden mood change.
A/N soo this book is completely inspired by my friend, Mikaangel2730.
Soooo... what do you guys think? Give me your honest opinion, whether you think it's bad or good. I'll try to post part 2 soon.
