When I went to the third floor of the dormitory, my roommates were surprised to see me armed with weapons. I told them where I went and who I was with at that time. Tom was cleared his throat when I mentioned Laelia's name. Apparently, he knew that girl from her songs and she was quite famous among the teenaged music artists.
"Did you get her number? Her autograph? Or a kiss maybe?" Tom was asking.
"Hell no." I replied. "Not interested."
"Well, Miss Lae is too beautiful, even for you." He added. "No one would even bother looking at you twice. Ha-ha."
Dan Mitten studied the swords. He took the katana from its sheathe and swung it around.
"Damn, this sword is heavy! It's not so comfortable!" He muttered.
"Well, that is quite useless." I said and told him to use it to slice a fruit. Luckily, I have an apple with me.
We placed the apple above the table and Dan swung the sword down. The apple bounced off the tip of the sword like a rubber eraser and rolled on to the floor.
"What?" He exclaimed. "This is really useless! Why did he ask you to have this?"
"No particular reason, but that sword was made by, um." I hesitated. "By my uncle. And it was a failure!"
"I've never seen a rune like this too." Clifford pointed at the sword's handle. "What happened to that rune?"
"I don't know. But that's probably why it is a failure." I explained. "It was supposed to be a sword that could break the rules of reality."
"Well it did!" Tom joked. "A sword that can't cut anything! Ironic!"
"Anyway, I got what I wanted anyway." I said. "A rapier with a wind rune. I tried it and it can make a tiny whirlwind and can shoot off lightning after it gathers energy all around the place."
"Cool." Clifford commented.
"Well, with that weapon, do you think we can overthrow Class A?" Dan asked. "I'm pretty confident we can, since we have me on our class."
"Huh? Overthrowing them? Why?" I asked.
"Well, I would like to have their comfortable room, plus their room is air conditioned! With free snacks! We can have double deck beds instead of sleeping with somebody! " He exclaimed. "Plus, I can poop in peace without someone interrupting me because they need water for brushing their teeth!"
For a small guy, Dan thinks a lot about things we cannot think if we are given time to do so. I agree with his plans about overthrowing the Class A now, because I hate this room too.
"So, how can we overthrow them?" Clifford asked Dan.
"We will provoke them into fighting us in this incoming battleground match. We will provoke them, as early as possible, before other classes challenge them." Dan said. "We will make them bet their rooms first, in exchange for our rooms? No. We need something valuable for a wager. Any ideas?"
"Well, since our rooms are ugly already. They won't accept it as something valuable for a wager." I said. "What about asking them directly anytime?"
"That's right." Tom agreed. "They are the only ones who know what they want."
"Okay." Dan said. "We will find a way to provoke them in some way."
"Understood." I said.
That topic was closed after that. We ate our dinner in peace, joking about the plans in overthrowing the Class A.
