WE PLAY DETECTIVE

I wouldn't recommend coming back in time if you don't like:

a) The dark

b) Feeling dizzy because the world is spinning around so fast

c) Strange noises in your ears

d) Random cold sensation all over your body

e) Going so fast backwards in time your face felt like peeling off

The time-travel stopped when the sword broke. The legendary katana broke into a hundred pieces, leaving me a handle and a purple rune stone.

It was noon time. By now, we would be getting ready for the dungeon.

I was still on the arena, but the mood was different. Thankfully, the arena was deserted. If someone saw me appear out of thin air—

Well, all is well. For now. I must get to work.

But then, I crumpled to my knees and fell face-first to the ground.

"What is wrong with my feet?" I cursed.

That was when I saw my appearance on the shiny glass sliding doors leading towards the battleground arena.

My hair was wiry, as if I just took a roller coaster ride a million times. My hair stood up on my back like lightning bolts. And that's not even strange. My hair was bleached white. My hair lost its color.

Yeah, my hair lost its color. Literally. Reluctantly, I took the phone out of my pocket. Something surprised me even more. My eyes were purple—just like the color of my sword's rune stone.

Idiot, you have a lot to do. I scolded myself. First you have to get your friends to believe your story.

I placed the phone back on my pocket. I took off the tattered black coat Jillian made me. Uh-oh. I have to see Jillian.

Yes, I know. She's the spy. You'd be like, Kill her! She's a traitor!

No. She was forced to spy on this school. Period.

I don't have to kill her.

First off, I'm weaponless. And, even if I kill her, how can I get the information out of her? Then there is only one solution. I have to make her a double agent. Yeah, just like in the movies.

Then I remembered my friends—Clifford, Janus, Tom, Dan, and the others. And Laelia. Well, I don't know if I should call her a friend after—never mind that. Anyway, where's Tom? I didn't see him at the arena.

Then the reality occurred to me. They died. Including his girlfriend—Criselda Stevens and Drake Saxx.

Move on. I scolded myself. If you mess up, there's no second chance.

I tried to stand up. Yeah, my knees felt like jelly. I can't move properly like this.

I decided to call Dan. He's the smartest guy I know. Maybe he can heal me or something...

I took out the phone and dialed Dan.

"Hello?" His voice said. "LeKradz?"

I was so happy to hear his voice I almost giggled like a girl.

"Hey, Dan." I said. "I need help."

"Huh?" He sound confused. "You were just here eating with Spencer and then—"
