Chapter 1
>JANE<
“Jane honey, wake up now!” my mother, Jamie calls.
I groan, rolling over before pushing my thick duvet out of my face.
I yawn, stretching before kicking my duvet out of the way, planting my feet down to my fluffy bedroom slippers, standing up, stretch and yawn again, walk over to vanity, take big paddle brush, pull hair tie out of hair, brush tangled hair, walk to bathroom, splash face with cold water, shriek for two seconds,
“Eek! That’s cold!”
Wipe water out of face, walk out of bathroom, grab iPhone from nightstand, walk out of bedroom, walk down carpet covered wooden stairs, and greet mother.
“Good morning mom.” I greet my mother and she offers a small smile before gesturing me down to sit in front of her.
“What do you want for breakfast?” she asks me whilst sipping from her coffee.
“I think I’ll settle for pancakes.” I reply unlocking my iPhone before checking on my Virtual families, My Boo and Campus life.
I have no social life, I get it.
I’d rather not be known to the world, honestly.
I nibble down my lip as I was waiting for a YouTube video to load.
Darn it, the internet was fast, yeah but my phone wasn’t, it was a long video, anyway.
Just when it was about to play my screen goes black before transitioning to a Caller ID who was calling me.
I sigh in frustration, what's the use of screaming or complaining? It won’t help at all.
JADE~THE~GREAT
is calling you…

Weird, doesn’t she have class today?
I answer it anyway, bringing my phone to my ear.
“Hello?” my sister voiced, she sounded tired.
Hm?
“Hello?” I answer, drumming my fingers on the hardwood table.
My mother was still there sitting across me, staring intently at her Macbook Laptop whilst sipping on her coffee once in awhile, not bothering on looking up on me. She probably knew it was Jade, I mean, I have no friends! Except maybe for that girl I chatted with on Omegle. That was only once though, we gave each other’s number and promised to call and text each other all the time. After that I never went on Omegle, EVER! Oh and by the way, her name’s Nancy.
“Hey Jane!”
How many times are we going to say ‘hello’ to each other?
“Hey Jade, what's up?” I ask.
“Oh nothing much, just wanted to say that my semester break is here and I'm coming to visit, actually I'm in the airport right now.” I could probably see the smile on her face right now.
Wait what?!
“You're coming here?!” I ask in disbelief, this may have attracted mom’s attention, seeing her mouthing ‘Put it on speaker’ before pulling her eyeglasses back.
I nod, putting it on speaker quickly before placing my iPhone in the middle of the table.
“Yes! I’ll be there, hmm, tomorrow? I’m not quite sure but I will call or text ya when I'm here.” She beams and I am happy.
