Chapter 2

>>Jane<<

Phew! That felt like forever! Prissie-or whatever her name is- is really talkative!

I take a deep breath sliding down the double doors to the floor. I was sweating, obviously. That has been the longest conversation I’ve had for 2 frickin’ years!! Besides the phone calls with Nancy or even Jade.

“Took you long enough.” My mother’s voice rings through my ears and I slowly stand up to see her in the lounging are just somewhere beside the door. (A/N: I SUCK AT DESCRIBING AT STUFF SO BARE WITH ME! X)  I walk over to the lounge are to see my mother has moved her hurricane of a working place here. Papers everywhere and all.

“Sorry, I bumped into Jade’s friend. And this one doesn’t like 10 second conversations.” I explain myself whilst sitting on the couch right across her before dropping the bag on the clear glass table that stood in between us.

“Really? Did you claim to be Jade?” She asked putting her laptop aside showing me that I have her full attention.

“DUH! I don’t want anyone else to know that I existed!” I stated in a duh tone chucking a big orange pillow in my mom’s direction she easily catches it before putting it aside.

“When are you planning on coming out of your little shell??” This topic is suddenly switched into something serious as my mom looks at me with concern. But she's right,

When am I coming out of my shell?

“I have no idea whatsoever. I think I'll just get an online job like freelancing or somethin’ then maybe when you pass away, which will definitely be in a long time, I could just nurse the house keep it standing and just have Jade’s future family living here, that sound like a plan to me.” I shrugged and my mom shook her head at me.

“Oh Jane...” My mom cooed, turning back to whatever she was doing.

I, on the other hand decided to sprint back to my room to try on the red lipstick.

But as soon as I reach my vanity I realize that I have no idea how to put on such a strong color.

So I look it up.

10 minutes later I have put on the lipstick, realizing that I did good.

Well what do I do now?

I could take a pic of myself and send it to Jade!

But she is in the plane and there is probably no signal.

Eh, I’ll take a pic anyway.

I take a quick selfie before wiping the red off my lips.

THE NEXT DAY

I wake up to the sound of a car pulling into the driveway before two door reak open.

“Welcome back Ms. Jade.” I hear our maid greet.

I rub my temples trying to make my brain start functioning before it hit.

Jade’s home.

“Jade’s home.” I whisper to myself, my eyes widen and the adrenaline pumps through my veins and before I could even process anything I’m already storming down the stairs and jumping on a tired looking Jade.
