Life as Jade Day: 01

I nervously stood out our condo. I had the key—I mean card to open the door but I was just way too nervous.

I took a deep breath and just knocked on the tall fancy wooden door.

30 seconds later the door opens and I see a pretty brunette. Her brown hair in soft curls, tall nose, and a small but tough looking frame.

“H-Hi.” I stuttered, giving her a small wave.

She smiles back.

“Nice to finally meeting you Jane.” She greeted holding out her hand for me to shake.

My face twists into confusion and shock, I seem to stiffen so much I look like a rock.

‘Great, someone already found out, what do I do now?!’

“Oh, I don’t think Jade, told you. Come inside first and I’ll tell you.” She welcomes me into our average sized condo. It was modern looking, with white carpeting in the small living room, white sheer curtains cover slide doors that will lead you to a balcony, there was a small hall that had three doors,  at the very end of the hall was a body-length framed mirror. She led me to the one at the very end at my left.

“This was Jade’s bedroom. But I guess you could have it. Go in and change into something comfy and then comeout. I have so much to tell you.” She smiles before limping away. That's when I notice she’s on crutches, her right leg in a heavy-looking cast that had a lot of little signs from people on it.

I walk into the average sized bedroom that had a twin sized bed , a big closet rested  against the wall next to me and there was an empty study table with a wheely chair thing that stood on the foot of the bed. The walls were a faint lavender color, oh and the floors were carpeted.

Fancy.

I dropped myself down on the bouncy bed, I analyzed things for awhile.

Why does mystery girl know how I am?

And why does she look like someone I know?

I guess my questions could only be answered once I change and go out.

I went over to my suitcase, zipping it open and grabbing a simple black tank top and sweat pants.

I took my current clothes off and slipped into the new, fresh ones before grabbing an elastic and tying my hair into a bun.

This is my kind of comfy.

I walk out to the living room to see she wasn’t there.

“I’m here.” She squeaked out, I whip my head around to see her in the small kitchen with the island table.

“Oh hi.” I responded, sitting on a stool across from her.

“Pudding?” she asks, holding out a packed tub of pudding.

“Do you have yogurt?” I asked. I didn’t want to demand her for pancakes or whatever. Its too early to demand for food.

“Yup. It’s in the fridge.” She pointed over to the tall single door fridge.

I stand up and open the lower part. I grabbed a tub of new yogurt, grabbing a spoon from the little storage where mystery girl placed it.

I sat back on the stool once again as I began to eat.
