When All Goes Wrong (a Danny Phantom x Gravity Falls)

With Danny (P.O.V.)

Danny wakes up in a sell as dark as a cavern in the middle of the night. The only light that he can see is his glowing, reflecting on the walls around him. It is a reminder that the boy is still in his ghost form, something somewhat comforting to him. He then try to get up but fail because of a head ache. The sounds around Danny makes him shiver, feeling like ceasing to exist. His body trembles with every breath he exhales and every movements he makes, making him quite uncomfortable no matter the position he's in. All he hears are ghost screaming desperately for the pain to stop. Taken by a sudden feel of worry, Danny realize that Snow is not with him. He heard her trying to set him free before landing here so, if he is not, that can only mean they caught her while she was weak. They surely took the dragon with them for their "experiments". Thinking about it make a chill go down his spine.

Suddenly, he hears a door open and footsteps coming closer. Danny can only think the worse is going to happen. When the footsteps stop, a bright light blind the poor boy and, before his eyes can adjust, he feel a hand taking him rudely out of his cell. With a whimper coming out of his mouth, he hears the agent that is grapping him talk.
-"Hello Ghost Boy, I am agent Q and this is agent O. Today we will not begin the experiment on you, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun, does it?", the agent says before laughing in the boy's face.
-"Let's get going. I don't want him to miss the chance of seeing that ghost scum's reaction when he will see his precious dragon.", the other agent adds, laughing as well as he emphasizes the word dragon.
-"Yes. Plus, there's a little surprise that await them.", concludes agent Q, leaving Danny to wonder what he ment.
The two agents then place a blindfold on the ghost boy's eyes and start dragging him into the corridor.

Danny's eyes widen in shock. What where they going to do with them? The ghost boy's mind was racing in thoughts and it worsens the pain in his head. Was it really going to be the last time he would see Snow? He couldn't bring himself to the conclusion that it wasn't a nightmare, but reality. Today, was it really the last time he would have seen his friends and family? So much questions left unanswered and still, does he really want to know the answers?

When they finally reach yet another door, the clothe that blocked the view of the child is removed. The agents then push him in the big white room filled with two torture table, two desk and many instruments of torture. Ghost blood still on the floor and tools around one of the table from the previous experiment. The thing that take the attention of Danny is the supposed ghost blood on the floor. The boy take a quick look at it and, even if it isn't easy to see the difference, he can see two colours, neon green and silver bluish. The child, now terrified, take some step back to finally touch the wall behind him. He knew exactly who can have such blood coloration. He had seen it so many times. Did they already hurt his friend? Hurt Snow? Danny was about to cry when he hears another door open. The person that enter the room is no one other than his dragon.
-" Experience 626 has entered the room. Please note that 625 is with it.", the intercom screeched in the room as the door closes behind her.
So that's how they were going to threat them, as laboratory rats with numbers? Danny run toward Snow to hug her. He can see that his friend is in terrible shape. Her wings are covered with dried blood, her tail have been cut here and there and her DP symbol is scratched, like they tried to remove it. The boy is crying in front of all those scars she have.
-"I... I'm sorry Snow. I'm so, so sorry", the boy starte, a small cry escaping him before he continues. "I couldn't help you. I couldn't protect you.", he finishes before the tears makes him unable to speak.
Snow gives him a gentle smile.
-"It's ok Danny,don't cry. I was the one who put myself in danger. Not you. It's not your fault, it's mine.", she reassures him, hoping to calm the stream flowing on his cheeks.
It is of no use, the boy's rain keeps pouring. Seeing this, she very carefully pulls him into a hug, ignoring her own pain.
-"Everything is going to be fine. I'll find a way out soon and all of this will end, I promises.", she whispers in his ear, hoping to calm the situation down.

Danny finally calm down and stop crying. Soon, he fall asleep in Snow's embrace. The dragon knows they don't have much time before the little "surprise". But for now, the only thing she worry about is how they are going to get out.

She knows she doesn't have much time and yet her brain seems so slow. Her thoughts can't organize well enough to for a plan probably due to the urgency of their predicament.

The door of the torture room swing open, causing the Phantoms to jump out in surprise. Two agents, the same that took Danny there, enters the room and close the door behind them so that the Phantoms wouldn't escape. Danny can feel Snow's body tense and she immediately put a wing in front of the boy, growling. Danny, on the other hand, try to stay calm. A thing really hard when you are not in your element. The agents then throw something at them and the little thing open and release a sleep gaz. It immediately put the child to sleep, but not the dragon. Agent Q take a tranquiliser shotgun and target her. Snow is fighting agains sleep with the little energy left in her. She is not going to give up. Not when she needs to protect her friend. This gives her enough time to hear the two agents talking.
-"They're sleeping. We are going to ready them for the next experiment.", agent Q states in the com he is wearing.
-"Soooo, is it the 626 vs 625 experiment or not?", agent O jokes as he picks the boy up like a vulgar trash bag.
-"Not for the first experiment, no.", the other agent replies as he takes the dragon in a similar manner, only to put her down on the table she previously was for the torture she had. "You need to remember that we can't test the same thing on the two. The scum child is more delicate, so we need to implant something on their spine. They will feel everything we're doing on the other so that it feels like we're testing on the two at the same time. But tomorrow, we will see if it still on the planning that they fight each other.", he concludes, a devilish grin plastered on his face.

The agent having a simple O as code seems to retort something, but Snow can no longer hear it clearly. Her last coherent thought that crossed her mind was a prayer for the boy next to her and a promise. The promise to set both of them free from this hell.

There was a long time before any of the duo finally woke up from the surgery, feeling a little woozy. Snow, however, was quick to recover. She was the one who realized the alien object within her body, since her muscles kept contracting in that area. She knows she has to get it out somehow and tries to bite down onto that area to take it out, but the little device is rooted too deeply for her to remove it that way. The only thing she gets from this attempt is her own inflicted wound that leaks a mixture of neon green and bluish fluid. And the pain. Don't get her started. It's as if it is duplicated. She hisses loudly and freeze her bite mark to heal it. She decides to lie down to calm the pain on the cold hard floor.

Danny, who is now connected to Snow, goes trough the different side effect. He can feel her pain/healing and, because she is 17 and immortal, he is now growing up from 14 to 17 and he will never grow up again. All of this is because of the SDconnect, a little machine that looks like a SD card. The fonction of the machine is to connect two bodies together by making them feel the same thing. Danny is affected by a side effect that is present only with dragons like Snow, which is the age effect.
