Dipper P.O.V.

I know what they are. More or less...

I have theories would be more accurate to say. I thought at first that they were vampires for multiple reasons. Skin coloration was one of them. Then I got to werewolfs but that didn't add up. That's when I started the ghost tests. Thermometers, ghost box, the candle trick gruncle Ford showed me... I really can't say if they are both ghosts or entities or whatever but I know for sure Cody made every tests react. Nix on the other hand, only the ghost box worked. Gruncle Ford told me to stay on guard since she might just be very wise and observant. But I don't feel threatened by her nor does she gives me the same creepy vibes as Cody. I don't know why, but Cody always makes me have goosebumps whenever he comes too close to me and I always feel a cold wave rush thoughts me as he passes me by. I'm pretty sure that's a good sign for ghosts no? After all, they usually make the temperature colder around them. It's not always like that, but most of the time it is a sign.

My thoughts are interrupted when I bump into Nix. I look slightly up at her and notice some panic in her eyes.
-"Oh sorry Dipper... I wasn't looking where I was going..." She say without looking at me.
-"It's fine. I wasn't looking either... Are you ok? You look worried." I reply kind of automatically.
Does she knows that I'm aware she's not human? Is that why she looks panicked? No, there's no way she does. I was subtle with my approaches this time, right?
-"O-oh it's fine. I just forgot to take my anxiety pill today and well... I made a mistake... I was on my way to get some of my herbal tea to try and calm down..." Nix replies in a suspicious way.
She seems kind of awkward, now that I think about it, but why?

I quickly realize that we are on the front porch and I was right in the doorway. I step aside and apologize. She then steps in and go in the kitchen. I fake stepping outside and close the door to go quietly watch her. Maybe she'll make a move that will confirm my hypothesis.

Snow's P.O.V.

I have to do exactly what I told Dipper, since this one is so adamant on watching my every moves. Although, all I want is to go grab Danny and go. Leave this place before it's too late. I resign myself to just pick up a cup and fill it with hot water to go upstairs. Afterwards, I calmly go in my shared room and close the door. Signing, I put the cup somewhere safe and look at the bed to see Danny fast asleep.

His calm breathing and still body let me know he isn't troubled with a memory. I slowly sit on the edge of the bed while observing him. He slightly flinches but relax within seconds after. I'm not sure I want to wake him up in this situation. He looks so peaceful for once, not a single sign of pain nor any negative emotions. I realize, in this moment, that this entire situation is putting us under even more pressure than we already were.

Danny constantly wakes up in the middle of the night, screaming in agony. There is some times where touching him can trigger the most heartbreaking reactions. He'll kneel to the ground while clutching his head close, whimpering to whoever listens to stop whatever they were doing. At night, I usually have to cuddle with him to get him to sleep and, even then, he'll hold onto me with a death grip, sometimes whispering to me not to go. It feels like we never left the lab. As if we're still stuck in that god forsaken facility and yet, we are so far from it.

I am aware that Dipper and Stanford are the ones triggering his trauma the most. They remind him of his parents and, subsequently, the G.I.W. I can't blame him. I see it too, but I have a more concerning situation on my mind. Well, that was until I saw the two agents at the cafe.

Dipper's P.O.V.

She didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Maybe she's just human then. Maybe she also heard me and didn't buy my attempt at sneaking around.

-"Yo Dip? You here?" I hear an all too well known voice calling me.
It pulls me out of my thoughts. I go to the backdoor and open it to see Wendy standing there.
-"Oh hey Wendy. What's up?" I ask more enthusiastically than I wanted to sound.
-"The sky. Dude, I've been trying to catch you for almost a week!" She lets her words out in frustration.
A week? But, I've been hanging around this entire time?

Before I can retort anything, she moves aside slightly to reveal a boy that was behind her. First thing I notice on him is the flannel shirt he is wearing. Wendy's to be precise. Maybe he's one of her family members? He's as tall as her, that's for sure, but his hair is a strange reddish silvery color. Who is this guy?
-"Found this dude unconscious in the forest and uh.. He doesn't speak English for sure. I thought you'd figure out whats he sayin." Wendy answers my unspoken question.
The concerned looks at me with a slight disgust in his eyes. He isn't even fully introduced and he already annoys me. Great.
-"Hi... And why would you think I know what he's saying?" I huff in mild annoyance.
He seems to be pleased by that. Weirdo.
-"Cuz it's not human? I mean, it doesn't sounds like he's talking in a human language." She replies, clearly unbothered by the atmosphere that is starting to get heavy.

I look at him again and swear I heard a familiar laugh when his blood colored eyes locked with mine. I feel a shiver run from my core to the tips of my fingers. He hasn't even opened his mouth and yet, it feels like he doesn't have to.

That can't be him, right? He can't be back! There's no way! I don't have any equipments against him on me right now so I can't even stop him! I can already imagine the horror that stupid triangle could do if it is him. He's probably here for revenge! We're in so much troubles...

This concludes the chapter. I've decided to keep it slightly in the same style as I did it back then. Sadly, I've lost touch with the original characters of both shows, therefore making them probably slightly out of character in the future. I am sorry in advance. -2025 author
