Arya tucked the knife into her boots and clambered over the edge of the roof. She stood, looking upon the abandoned building from across the dark dim street. A heated breeze rustles through, brushing her ponytail against her long slender neck. The single faded yellow light flickers.
Like a snake waiting for her mouse, Arya stood unmoving. A shadowed figure sneaked into the abandoned brick four-story apartment building. Not two minutes later, a second silhouette entered the building.
Arya checked the height of the moon. They are late.
She gazed back to the building and jogged backward to the edge of the roof she was currently standing on. With a pause, she burst into a run, running toward the edge of the rooftop. Her foot pushed of the barrier and she goes flying across the alleyway below her;.
With a grunt, she rolled and stood. She was safety on the abandoned building's rooftop. She made seven foot jump; and it was nothing for her.
Arya had been collecting information since she was sixteen. Because of her burning curiosity of the vampire world, which Horace made sure to hide her from, she began sneaking out when she was fourteen. Of course, she was often caught, but then she got good, but a little too late. After a while, Horace did begin to tell her about the vampire world, and Arya no longer sneaked out for information. Now, it was to see if she could. She became a master of this city.
Once she knew the city, it got boring. For adventure she started getting information for certain sources about certain topics. She was a top hunter for info; the silent human hunter.
She did not plan on giving that up because she was stuck to some vampire lord. Urg. No, she'd just have to be cautious.
Arya creeped toward the holes in the roof. She slipped through the cracked ceiling and landed on the metal bars on the inside of the building; the bars that made up the building's infrastructure. The rickety metal vibrated under her feet. This building was never quite rebuilt so Arya had ease slipping through the empty open building and down closer to the ground floor.
A slight ding sounded as her feet landed softly on the metal bar. The two silhouettes were now below her.
"Did you get it?"
"Yes. Did you check the perimeter?"
"Right when I came in... Reptile isn't here."
Arya smirked but stayed perched above them.
"So is it final? We are attacking the Dangerous Kiss?"
Arya tensed. This wasn't good.
"Yes. We are all ready."
"How many did you get to agree?"
"About twenty of us. I'll tell you the date later."
The two people looked around suddenly and in fear. Arya didn't move, hidden in the shadows of the building.
"Okay. Bye."
One of the figures dashed out. A minute later, with another glance around, the second ran out.
Arya waited five minutes before she felt safe enough to come out into the moonlight. She dropped to the first floor and landed in the dusty rubble. The moon was now edging towards the horizon and Arya cursed as she stepped out of the house. She had to go to the Lord's home!
