"My my, you have grown Reptile." Alex said, leading Arya back to the bar. They slipping into one of the booths and Alex quickly put a little relic onto the table. An invisible bubble surrounded them and Arya knew that their conversation would now be private.

Alex leaned into the light, looking at Arya's features. Alex was a stern short woman with a big strong heart. She had ragged orange hair and sharp intelligent emerald eyes. On her bicep and forearm curled a snake tattoo. It was another reason Arya's opposite persona had such a strange name.

"Why hasn't my favorite little snake come to visit me more often?" mused Alex, leaning back into the booth as Arya slipped off her hood.

Arya shrugged, "Life got crazy."

"Pff! I'm sure its nothing that you can't handle." Alex brushed off.

"Well—..." Arya started and spilled everything.

Alex was in shock. "Well... That is pretty life changing... But like I said, it's nothing you can't handle." She regained herself quickly.

Arya shrugged and clutched her marked wrist, "That's true. It's just... I never thought I'd be stuck to a vampire that is hunting me!"

Alex tapped her chin, looking Arya up and down.

"You seem like you need a release..."

Arya sighed heavily, sinking into the chair, "You have no idea."

"I have a job for a customer that I haven't found anyone to fill yet."

"When is the job due?"

Alex smirked at her, "Today."

Arya grinned, "Procrastination? Why Alex, I could have never imagined you doing such a thing!"

"Oh please!" Alex rolled her intelligent eyes and smiled. "It's an easy job. Won't take three hours at worst. I was going to send one of my older little snakes, but if you would like it...?"

Arya nodded, "I'll take it."

"Excellent! You are the best there is and since you are not one of my snakes anymore... I was wondering if you are willing to train an older boy or two?" Alex coyly plugged in.

Arya shrugged, "Sure. I just need to know the job first."

"Of course. Of course." Alex waved her off, "Let me go get the request."

"Wait Alex."

Alex looked sideways at her.

"About what I heard in the abandoned building—."

Alex gave her a small smile, "Don't worry child... We knew of the attack a while ago."

"I-I-I don't want anything to happen to this place." Arya quietly said, the longing tremoring in her tone.

Alex gently reached over and cupped the side of Arya's face. "Don't worry my little one, we are prepared. The information you gave us helped us tremendously to prepare more. Don't worry, I've handle more than one attack on the Kiss before." She then beamed, "Come along! Time to get you that sweet release of a job."

Arya smiled.

Alex plucked the charm off the table, the bubble releasing, and tucked the thing into her pocket.

"Madam Reptile, come this way please." Smirked Alex, beckoning for her to follow.

Arya chuckled and followed Alex away.
