I apologize for such a short chapter, but it is kinda important to me. This chapter was important to me because it has a very powerful meaning to it. It really shows how much Carson cares not only for Riley but his men. The song i'm going to attach to this really inspired me. There will be alot more action in the next one. I promise.
Thanks.

Chapter 26: A War Of Love.
Riley shook her head.
“No! Carson!” She started to run back at the sound of men fighting.
“Riley look at me.” Arianna said pulling her.
Riley looked at the seriousness in her eyes.
“We have to get his father, if Carson has a chance at surviving we have to get his father.” Arianna said.
Riley nodded.
Arianna took Riley's hand and ran toward where they had landed the chopper. It was important they got to her dad before it was too late. Flying was faster than running, even in their vampire speed. After they made it to the clearing to the chopper, Arianna let Riley go.
“Was the helicopter put under an all system check before it was put up in the air?” Riley asked looking all business now.
Arianna couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at the way Riley was being so strong. But they had to hurry.
“Riley, we have to hurry.” Arianna said.
Riley nodded and boarded the chopper; Arianna followed her. Riley quickly brought the chopper to life, the blades spinning quickly, lifting them off the air. Riley placed a head set on and handed one to Arianna.
“Tell me where to go, and i'll take us there.” Riley said.
POV: Carson.
We were completely surrounded. There was no way we could even get weapon re-enforcements. I looked around, there were more men on the way, I knew because I heard one of them call them in. The only advantage we had on these brutes was, none of them had any mental abilities, no special powers. They were what vampires clan's like to call tanks, muscle, no brains just force. They were like dogs, if they were told to do something they would carry it out, though they had no ability to think for them selves. I looked over and watched as Ben walked through the crowd of men. I growled and crouched.
“This is your fault! If it wasn't for you none of this would've happened!” I said.
Ben's head hung.
“Brother, you will never know how sorry I am.” Ben said and then dashed off in the woods.
Aidan looked over at me.
“Should we go after him?” he asked.
I shook my head.
“Let him go, besides even if we wanted to, these idiots wouldn't let us.” I said.
“So what is the plan?” He asked waiting for direction.
I swallowed hard and asked the men to gather around.
“Boys, it was selfish to bring you here. It was wrong for me to ask you to risk your lives for my own selfishness. Riley was my responsibility and I screwed up. Now if you want to stand down and hope we can gain the mercy of that coward, I’ll back you boys. Or we stand like men and fight, fight with the pride and strength that was bread into us. Fight until we die, like we were born to do. Fight for what we are meant to protect. Until the last breath of air leaves our lungs. Until the last beat of our hearts.” I said as a tear rolled down my eyes.
