Chapter 15: New Light

Pov: Riley.

I woke up the next morning feeling like I had gotten no sleep at all. I rolled over to notice Carson was no where to be found. Instantly my heart sank. I really missed him. I didn’t like that he was gone. I stretched and stumbled to the closet and pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and a blue sequence tank top. I groaned and threw it on the bed and walked to the bathroom to shower. I leaned over and turned on the hot water. I sighed as I stepped into the steaming water. I felt my muscles relaxing under the water. I smiled and let the water fall over my head and face. I closed my eyes but regretted it when I seen Aidan’s face. I quickly opened my eyes. Ugh it reminded me of how annoyed I was at him for invading my dreams last night. I shaved my legs and washed my hair and body. I got out and wrapped a large white towel around my body. Securing I under my arm. I wrapped my hair in a towel and brushed my teeth in the sink.

I opened the bathroom door. To find Aidan laying on my bed. I groaned in frustrating and gripped my towel.

“What do you want? Wasn’t last night enough!?” I asked.

He smiled innocently.

“What ever do you mean?” He asked.

I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t play games with me. I know you invaded my dreams. I never have dreams of other men.” I said.

A small smile pulled at the corner of his mouth. I had a small urge to kiss it.

His smile widened and his eye brow arched.

I groaned.

“You can read my mind too!?” I asked.

He chuckled and played with a few miscellaneous things on Carson desk.

“Can you leave, I would like to get dressed.” I said annoyed.

He frowned and walked toward me.

“I’ll scream!” I threatened.

He rolled his eyes.

“Oh please Riley! I’m not going to rape you! I’d at least roofy you first.” He said taking a step back.

I rolled my eyes.

“Plus, I want you to want it. And I know for a matter of fact it is killing you right now that I’m not touching you.” He said crossing his arms.

I shook my head.

“Actually it’s killing me that Carson isn’t here.” I said honestly.

I seen jealousy cross Aidan’s features.

“I  don’t see what you see in that half breed!” Aidan spat.

How dare him!

“Excuse me!?” I shouted.

He rolled his eyes.

“You heard me! You can pretend all you want that you guys have the magical connection. We both know you know no more about him then you know about me!” He shouted back.

I scoffed.

“You are stupid to believe I want to know ANYTHING about you firstly! And secondly Carson is the man I am marrying, who I am mated to, who I have devoted my life to. And no matter how many dreams you invade will never change that.” I shouted angrily.

A sly smile crossed his face.

“Right, but I have something he doesn’t. It’s something that will always bond you to me whether you want it or not.” He stated stepping dangerously close to me.
